I’ve owned several cases over the years, mostly TPU style, plastic, or silicone. With my new phone I decided to go with a leather case, didn’t seem “right” putting a cheap $15 plastic case on a $900 phone. Shopping around, I liked the look of the pebble leather on this case, and thought it would offer a little better grip. Upon receiving the case, I found this to be true. Feels good in the hand, not slippery at all. Good quality leather, and it’s two layers, the pebble finish is inside as well. The metal buttons and metal ring around the camera are a nice touch. The case extends up above the screen on the sides, offering a bit more protection. I think the thickness of the leather does offer a little drop protection, but not much. If drop protection is your goal, this isn’t your case, neither is any other leather case. Fit is perfect, it’s tight but not too tight. Popped right on and I don’t think I’ll need to worry about it falling off. No issues with the magnetic charger either, very strong magnets in this case. Buttons and cutouts line right up. I’ll update this review if anything changes, but for now, this is a 10/10. I’ve seen the Apple leather case, it’s nice but for the same price, this is a much nicer case. My only negative is that it’s not real clear where this case is made. They state it’s designed in the USA by a Florida based company, and that they are handcrafted in their workshops, but don’t say where those workshops are. Read more
Initially I gave this product a bad review due to the fact that it does not work with any of my MagSafe docks or accessories. I never had any problem with the case other than that. It looks and feels great and fits the phone well. My only issue was that I couldn’t use my phone with MagSafe without taking the case off. I also bought the purple color as a gift for someone else at the same time I got mine and they are ok with theirs. The purple one still doesn’t have strong magnets to securely hold the phone to the dock but it is better than the brown one that I bought which will slide off the dock after a few seconds. I’m am changing my review because the company reached out to me and offered me a full refund. I appreciate a company that will stand behind their products and do the right thing. If you want a nice looking case and not a big user of MagSafe then this case is definitely worth looking at. Read more
I discovered Blackbrook when I had a 15 Pro Max. The black pebbled leather with the metal camera bump and buttons super impressed me. However, when they released cases for the 16—like many other companies—they ended up just adding a huge cutout for the camera control. I personally am not a fan of this and definitely would want it covered. Fast forward to today, I’m very happy that Blackbrook finally is making cases with a working camera control cover! It maybe registers my swiping 90% of the time unfortunately, but who actually uses this button anyways? 😬 I feel like this is common knowledge, but leather cases WILL stain, they won’t 100% protect your phone from nasty drops/falls, and they will discolor eventually from patina and overall use. So please stop complaining when your greasy hands from potato chips stains the case’s leather! The other thing I love about leather cases is that they actually are grippy by nature, and the more you use and handle them, the grippier they get. This especially helps for one-handed use with the bigger Pro Max! Try out a Blackbrook case and I’m sure you’ll be happy. Leather is definitely better than the cheaper plastic cases. Read more

Great quality leather, love that the camera bump has leather wrapped around the lip. One issue is that camera control button swipes don’t register through the button on the case. The button itself works though. Not sure if this is just my case. Read more
