Ordered this suit for my wife and she finds it to be a nice, stylish swimsuit. It looks good and seems well made. The fit is comfortable, the fabric feels soft, and it’s a cute design overall. That said, the “slimming” effect falls short of expectations. While the suit doesn’t look bad, it doesn’t pull in or smooth out the mid-section as a true shaping or tummy-control swimsuit would. In areas meant to contour or define the waist and stomach, the suit rather lays naturally without shaping. If you’re hoping for a sculpting effect, this one probably isn’t it. The design is form enhancing and it accents those places you want enhanced with an additional tummy control to help with all those delicious summer drinky drinks. I'm 5'4" but mostly legs, so I found that this was not very flattering. I like the corset style and the structured bustline, but the corset doesn't go very far down - leaving the small amount of fat that most women have beneath the belly button to bulge out through the bottom of the suit, making me look less slim than I actually am. Despite the corset being too short, conversely there is a lot of extra material in the midsection even though the item otherwise fits me like a small should - it's a bit too long and, I won't share a photo of the back but I wish there was just a little less material or a slightly higher cut on the bottom because it looks a bit diaperish even with a 'full'/curvy posterior. I'll still hang onto it in case I have a need for an extra PG bathing suit but maybe avoid if you have a shorter torso. Read more
