There's nothing like going on a cruise with only two swimsuits to alternate between to remind me that maybe I should invest in another. And maybe I should look at getting something that shields an area I feel more self-conscious about. This one is an excellent choice! I'm nearly 5'9", around 160lbs, and a 36B. I went ahead and ordered a large since I didn't want to feel squeezed. I think that was a good choice for my preferences. I don't feel like it's loose or at risk of exposing myself. The straps are also adjustable which is a nice bonus and certainly helps. It'll make this much more versatile for different bodies. The suit itself feels very smooth and comfortable. The skirt is attached and the design is flattering. I do feel it helped hold my tummy together a bit more than other suits would, but it doesn't feel intrusive either. The skirt tie is also for decoration and not a functional piece. You can retie it yourself, but it's just there as part of the aesthetic and isn't doing any work on keeping the skirt attached. The skirt is part of the suit itself. All in all, I really appreciate the coverage this provides. The color is beautiful and I feel good about getting stuff from Blooming Jelly. I bought the extra extra large and I am 4'9 150 lb it fits perfectly! It is really good quality the stitching is very fine you can't even see it the width of the strap to go over your shoulder is wide enough that it doesn't pitch or put an indention into your skin. The shoulder straps have an adjuster you can make it tighter and longer and the metal on that adjuster is nice and sturdy. The bikini shorts are like a pair of high cut underwear very comfortable the skirt comes down almost to the knee and it is cut up to a slit on one side but you do feel very covered the only thing that is a little uncomfortable for me is this pattern where it looks like your skin is showing through right on the bust area and almost a bullseye pattern of circles.. it makes it slightly risque especially because I plan to wear it to the rec center. The outer fabric that I got is deep aqua and literally has some holes in it that are very nicely stitched and you see flesh colored fabric underneath that I am actually going to try to get some fabric paint to touch that up because I love the fit and the comfortableness of the bathing suit so much. I would say that the skin color showing through is definitely Caucasian unfortunately they do not offer any other skin tones to show through so that's a negative as well. But as far as durability quality and flattering style covering necessary parts , and the skirt does come down in the back as well it gets an a+ on that. I just would have liked a little bit less show through in the design. And they need to offer different skin colors for the show through part. Read more

I love the fit and coverage this Blooming Jelly one piece swimsuit with skirt provides! Everything about the suit is excellent quality, from the material to the manufacturing. It's very flattering on my mom tummy and the skirt is really flattering and gives me some coverage of my thighs that gives me way more confidence at the pool that the normal one piece I wear with a pair of running shorts over it. I've tried tankinis before, but I hate the way the tank lifts up on me in the water... this doesn't do that since it's a once piece with the skirt built it! The adjustable straps should be able to accommodate anyone's bust size within a normal range and it's so comfortable you can wear it for hours of pool fun. I would absolutely recommend this for any mom who's a bit self-conscious about their body. First, let me just say — this is a beautiful bathing suit. It checks all the boxes for someone like me who looks for targeted coverage. I really don’t like wearing swimsuits because, personally, I don’t feel very confident in them. But I thought this one would be a good choice since it has a nice skirt for coverage and mentions having tummy control! I went by the size chart to determine what size to get. I’m a 42B with a 36" waist — according to the chart, that put me in a XXL. I normally wear a L to XL. When I put this on, it fit well — not tight, not loose — but I prefer a snugger fit in a swimsuit to help hold everything in, especially with a skirted style. At first, I didn’t think it had tummy control, so I turned it inside out to check, and sure enough, it does — just below the bustline down to where the skirt attaches. Personally, I wish the tummy control extended a bit lower, more toward the belly/hip area. With that said, I would probably size down next time. Overall, I think this would be a perfect choice for most women. It provides targeted coverage where we want it most, yet still has that little bit of “ooh la la” to make you feel feminine and confident. The construction feels durable enough to hold up season after season. While the listing doesn’t mention machine washing, I’d recommend a gentle cycle and hang dry.
