Blooming Jelly Womens Tankini Swimsuits with Swim Skirt Two Piece Tummy Control Bathing Suit Modest Swimwear 2025

First, I made the mistake of ordering Blooming Jelly's tankini in the wrong size, so I cannot fault Blooming Jelly for my gaffe. I did find the suit to be of high quality, and while a bit large on me, it is still a flattering suit. I ordered a size large thinking I'd be cautious, given that this is a swimsuit that is designed to be fitted. For reference, I am 5'7, 135 pounds and generally wear a size 8 in dresses. I should've followed the size chart and ordered a medium. The suit does fit well, albeit having a few gaps because of my size discrepancy. I am about a C cup, and I did find the top to fit well. The suit is modest with its skirt style and not worrying about how the tops of your thighs look certainly makes the suit more comfortable. The material is thick for a swimsuit and washes well in a standard washing machine. I did, of course, lay the suit flat to dry. I did not notice any fading, pilling or shrinking. This is my second Blooming Jelly swimsuit. I love the first one, but this one is not flattering for wide hips or heavy legs. I found this surprising, considering this suit has more coverage. My other Blooming Jelly swimsuit is a real bikini, not a tankini, yet the cut of the bikini bottoms doesn’t accentuate my problem areas like this one does. I am 5’7”, 210 pounds and I usually wear a size 16 or an XL in all of my clothes. My waist is smaller and my hips are larger than average for my size. While this tankini skirt, bottom does indeed fit on my body, its length falls to exactly to my widest point. It additionally rides up when I walk. I do like the top of the tankini and I find the top portion to be flattering, so what I will probably do is pair this top with some bottoms that I feel more comfortable wearing. If you have great legs or narrow hips, I feel like this cut could be very flattering for you. As far as construction, I really do love this brand for the quality of the materials, the finish of the hemmed edges (not just cut or serged!), the washability of the product and how it does not fade in chlorine water. I have worn my other blooming jelly bikini a half dozen times to the indoor pool and I’ve washed it in the washing machine twice and it still looks brand new. This one seems to use the same material so I would expect it would perform similarly. The colors are true to the listing. The Lycra/spandex fabric is very thick compared to other swimsuits that I have gotten on Amazon. There are no raw edges anywhere and both swimsuits are lined in the most important areas. I'm very disappointed with the fit of the swimsuit. I ordered the size that I always order and it is way too small. Not only is it unflattering, but the The parts don't even stay in place. Like the cover of rides up my thighs and the tankini rides up my waist because it is too tight. This might be a pretty decent set if it fit correctly, but as is I'm really disappointed with it. I honestly didn't think I would love this Women's Tankini Swimsuit with Swim Skirt from Blooming Jelly nearly as much as I do. I got the blue striped color and the top is white with blue stripes and the bottom is a matching solid blue denim color that's a gorgeous shade of blue. The top has adjustable straps and padded cups that you can take out if you don't want them and has a sweetheart style neckline that I think is very flattering. The bottom is a swim skirt that has attached bikini bottom and a side tie that you can scrunch up a lot or a little depending on what looks best on you. I'm short at only 5'2" so the skirt is a little long on me but I can scrunch it up and tie it higher that makes it appear shorter. I think the size chart is accurate. According to the measurement chart, I am between a L and an XL and since I don't like anything very tight, I ordered the XL and it's the perfect fit for me.
