I remember in the 80's when I was a kid (showing my age) of a really cheesy commercial of this guy saying, "stops itching fast." Well, this thing really does stop itching fast. It is faster than Benadryl, calamine lotion, and hydrocortisone. I have areas of my skin that really itches. I used Benadryl, calamine lotion, and hydrocortisone, and they worked, but it would take a while and not last all that long. I ordered Blue Star Ointment and gave it a try. It literally started working in a matter of seconds. It is also an ointment so it does not dry out. The only bad thing is the scent. It is camphor and it is strong. I recently got ringworm for the first time and was following the conventional approach to treat with lotrimin ultra and Defense anti-fungal soap. After three weeks there was very little noticeable progress. After two days of applying Blue Star, the rashes are clearly fading. The ointment looks and feels very similar to vaseline on the skin. In my case I'm applying it over most of my arms and legs so putting pants and shirts on over it feels a bit weird but is completely worth it for the quick work it is making of the ringworm. I don't itch the rashes so I don't have any open skin but the Blue Star does slowly heat up the skin a bit. I wouldn't call it a burn but there is a bit of discomfort. After the first application there was some reddening of the skin around the ringworm but on subsequent applications that seems to have gone away. I've applied it three times a day and am very encouraged for the first time while treating the ringworm. Each jar looks like it will last about three-four days with my usage. Read more
