Works well. Relatively quite. You get used to it in the background. I have had for almost 2 years not. Replaced the filters with OEM filters. Very easy. Well engineered product. No funky smells as some have claimed. Use OEM filters. Would recommend replacing every 6 months if you need activated charcoal for pet smells etc. otherwise a once a year would probably work for most folks. Read more

With contemporary kitchens, overhead 'hoods' for smoke and grease re-circulate the greasy air back into the kitchen. I bought this, and before starting to cook dinner, we turn this on to "full blast," and it sucks in all the grease in the air and filters it out. If you live in a smaller home or a new 'townhome,' this is the PERFECT solution. We keep it going all day & night on its 'low' setting so that the house always smells clean when entering the home.
