Good product, durable, good design and looks nice in a room, can work with your phone to access controls, and has a soothing sound if you need white noise. It is durable and it will shut off at the appropriate humidity level that is chosen. Yes and it doesn’t leak. Read more
Chemically Sensitive Person—July 1, 2025
Warning, unable to disable bluetooth for those chemically sensitive. Being frusteratingly chemically sensitive, this product does not work for me because the bluetooth is built in. The product except that looks good. The customer service from blueair is honest and kind letting me know bluetooth could not be disabled. And Amazon allowed me to return this product. Excellent service all around. The hunidifier holds a lot of water compared to my other smaller one. It uses a wicking humidification technology instead of ultrasonic. The ultrasonic ones are annoyingly loud and make very small water particles. This seems more natural humidification humidifies an entire room. The water try seems easy to fill and clean. I hope blueair builds another version of this that allows bluetooth to be disabled because everything else seemed built well. Read more

UPDATE : 1 Month Later - It DIED! Dead as a doornail in a MONTH people! Will not turn on, if it does turn on, it shuts itself off, if it manages to be on and running, the water pump won’t bring water up onto the filter. I have thrown in the proverbial towel and returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS. PROS: Works brilliantly! I live in a desert and usual humidity was around 5 - 10%. I suffered from frequent nose bleeds, dry skin and dry eyes. This little unit has kept my bedroom at a very comfortable 45% humidity. I have to refill it daily, but that’s understandable! Refilling it is extremely easy with a water pitcher. I have not spilled anything. The unit is extremely quiet, and once I figured out I could adjust the brightness of the display on the app I think it is a perfect humidifier. I would absolutely plan on using the app if you purchase the device. The functionality of the top display is such that you really are better off using the app. It works seamlessly once you get the controls down. CONS: Keep in mind that when using the included QR code to “register” the device you’re only guided into signing up for the blue air promotional emails which is why I’ve knocked one star off. You’ll need to use the email associated with the app, create an account on their website, and then go to register the device under the “devices and warranty” subheading using the serial number found on the back of the unit and your date of purchase from Amazon to actually register your device for the 3 year extended warranty. Just be warned, the top fan assembly (with the touchscreen) can get a little stinky inside. I don't know if there's a way to clean inside there. It doesn't look serviceable. All I saw were screws inside the assembly on the underside. This is a very robust, well-made humidifier. Probably top of the line. This is probably the best humidifier out there right now. Researched this hard. Checks all the boxes: - Evaporative fan (no white dust) (no concentrated moisture buildup) - touchscreen controls with settable humidity level - large tank - easy refill with tap water - low maintenance - fundamentally leak-free design (its literally just a bucket holding water) Looks and functions great! (It definitely brings up the humidity in a room.) Just looks and feels nice! (Robust & elegant touchscreen display / model design. High quality feel. A nice, simple, clean look. Just gives off the impression: "This is how a humidifier should be.") The only thing bad that sets me back is the top fan assembly doesn't seem serviceable to clean. I only smell a slight stink coming through the vent at the top and in the underside of the assembly. I cleaned the outer areas, but the stink still is coming from inside. I believe moisture built on the fans and inside. It isn't that bad and isn't noticeable with normal usage, but it is still concerning to me. Read more

Update: I have it running again. I think what happens is that sometimes an air bubble will get into the pump and cause it to make a loud buzzing sound like a cheap aquarium pump. It can be fixed by emptying the water out of the pump and, with a bit of luck, refilling it without another air bubble getting in. I’ve had this happen several times but so far has always been fixable with some effort. I do very regular maintenance on the unit (we have hard water) to descale the filter and reservoir. This maintenance still takes less time then on ultrasonic humidifiers I have and using tap water instead of distilled has been awesome. The main issue I’m finding is a buildup of orange scale in the output hole from the pump and the hole it mates to, which doesn’t seem cleanable. That could be an issue in time. Still very disappointed in BlueAir’s customer support. ——— I really liked this at first. Humidifed well, allows a specific humidity to be set and then is pretty good at maintaining it, very quiet at least on the first 2 fan settings. But most of all, requires MUCH less maintenance (cleaning) than the ultrasonic humidifiers I had been using. So why 1 star? Because after 2 months of working well it started making a loud buzzing sound. The sound is coming from the pump. Obviously defective. So I go to the BlueAir website to get support and find that their website is broken. You can’t register the product which they require you to do to extend the paltry 1 year warranty, and when I try to submit an issue ticket that fails too. Terrible customer support. So hopefully they pickup the phone when I call them, which I hate to have to do. Could have been a good product, maybe I just got a bad unit, but the lack of support is a dealbreaker. I thought this was a good brand. Lesson learned. Read more
