It gives strong protection against dust, pollen, and even smaller particles, so it’s perfect for anyone with allergies or pets. Overall, these are great quality filters at a good price. Great value and good product

Penny B.December 27, 2025

I have been buying these type of filters for years, and they are efficient, long lasting ( I change them every 3 months whether they need it or not, as they still look good), and they are a good value. I have a cat who naturally sheds kitty glitter everywhere, so the air quality these provide is necessary. Read more

Easily to use than many wider filters

MBinChicagoJanuary 7, 2026

These filters seem good; well constructed and not as wide as a lot of 4 inch filters, which is great because it is always difficult to remove an old filter if it is really 4 inches thick (that's the size of the filter box and there is no clearance). I also like that it has a date install box on the end facing out to write in the date. Read more

Value for your money.

Mend123January 6, 2026

Great value and quality. Everywhere else I looked for a six pack of my AC filter size was close to double. I could get it for cheaper, but the quality was not there. This pack of filters is going to make it a lot easier to change them every three months as recommended for this price. Read more

Tired of Flimsy Filters & Hard to Find Size?? Try This!

nite rider 2January 8, 2025

BNX seems to really have their act together. One of the biggest problems with a typical box of 6 filters is that the filters are bent or crushed before they go into the shipping box, or the box exactly fits snug around the filters - such that if there is any rough handling in shipping (and there usually is) then the filter perimeter paperboard (the frame) will become bent or even creased. If that happens, and the frame of the filter is flimsy to start with, then you can have serious issues. Considering the above - there are 2 very important points to look for from my perspective. 1. Structural strength of the filter paperboard frame components (not the actual filter material so much) need to be as sturdy as you can get - in order to prevent bending, bowing, or any other shape that allows the flowing air to short circuit around the filter. In particular the paperboard perimeter framework is the most important piece to having a filter that is not flimsy. It is very simple to examine this by "feel". I have ordered from several providers at this point - and so far the BNX construction is by far the most sturdy that I have seen - this is very apparent upon holding one and flexing it a bit - but keep reading. 2. The next requirement concerns how the filters are packed so that they cannot be easily "dented" with minor dings and collisions in transit. The first BNX shipment I received with (1) - 6 pack came in an OVERSIZED - and very sturdy cardboard box. There was not one crease or crinkle in any of the 6 filters when I opened it. The oversized box seems to work because if it takes a hit in shipment - the filters bundled up in plastic inside have room to be away from edges of the shipping box. I'm sure the bigger package is a cost factor - but, it's worth it. It is extremely important that the filters have no structural flaws. I have a new Trane Gas Package & it requires (Qty 2) - 18 x 20 x 1 nominal size. Actual size needs to be exactly 17.75" x 19.75" x 0.75". Also, 2 of these filters are needed, as that is how TRANE designed their filter tray arrangement - you slide one of the filters in on a U shaped metal channel tray until it touches the HVAC unit side wall - and then you slide another filter in until it butts against the first filter. Then you close the filter compartment door, and it seals with the side wall of the second filter. The filter dimensions are perfect and have no leakage between where the two butt together. Also, there is no leakage against the other edges against the HVAC unit. I have tried several other brands and none are as sturdy as these. So the size is perfect, and I do not think they will get sucked into the unit or bowed due to their above average structural integrity. As a side note, the actual filter size for this large TRANE unit is difficult to find .... so congratulations for BNX stocking this size. In conclusion - I just put the first 2 filters into my TRANE unit. So I cannot vouch for runtime at this moment. I will try to adjust this review as I continue to watch it's operation. However, the fact that the filters arrived in absolutely perfect condition, AND, they are the sturdiest I have ever seen gives me a lot of confidence that my battle for a filter vendor is over. Thank you BNX. Your attention to the things that are most important to this customer is absolutely noted. Your value add, and attention to detail, are most appreciated. Good job ! Update #1: 12/28/25 - It is almost 1 year later than the original review above. Nothing has changed concerning the original review, but I would like to expand it. These filters are doing a great job, and this is an understatement in my opinion. RUN TIME BETWEEM FILTER CHANEOUT: I have a Trane digital thermostat, and it accumulates the hours of "run time" for each day, and it distinguishes whether the run time is (cooling or heat) .... and it does so ultimately for a monthly total. The monthly data is presented to me on my phone in the form of a bargraph for each month. Hang in there with me because you can do this with the human eyeball. So each time I change the filters (there are 2 filters that fit into this Trane unit butted together, see above - I treat them as if they are one filter), I know how many hours the unit ran on heat and/or how many hours it was cooling. This of course depends on what month it is. So I am gathering data to figure out what is the "optimum run time". I do this by eyeball, i.e. I hold the spent filters up to the sunlight against a new one. So far I see no apparent difference whether the "run time" is cooling or heating. Having said this, my ductwork is clean, the Trane is only about one year old. So far .... the bottom line is that for my unit - I know I am safe with a number around 350 hours of run time. Whether this total run time takes place in say, .... 1.5 months or 2.5 months or whatever ..... and whether it has been mostly (or all) on heat or cool .... this 350 hours works for me. The spent filters are only slightly discolored, and that is the way I like it. I would never risk running the filters longer especially when these very sturdy BNX filters are so fairly priced. I did run one set of filters up to 450 hours just as a test, and the spent filters were slightly darker (dirtier) than when the filters run 350. My motto to myself is .... don't push the filter life. I would guess that anyone's given situation would be different than mine ..... because there are just too many variables. Even if I did not have the "fancy dancy" thermostat with the "runtime accumulator" - I would just open the filter door, and visually inspect the filters occasionally with a flashlight. That's my two cents worth. I am glad I found BNX filters. I will try to report back for a review update if I see any need to do so. A final note is that even after these relatively significant "run times" .... these filters look just like they did the way I received them in the aspect of their structural integrity. There is no creasing, bending, folding, etc. They are sturdy. That's a big deal and a good deal for me. If there is a "next time", maybe I will attach some pictures. Read more
