The media could not be loaded. I ordered this evaporative cooler for quick, spot cooling in areas like my kitchen and office/spare room without the hassle or expense of installing a portable AC or upgrading to central split air. This is not a traditional portable air conditioner. It uses a small compressor and R-290 refrigerant to generate cool air (like a traditional AC), but the air is then further cooled by pushing that air over water and blowing the cooled breeze out (evaporative cooling). That makes it an evaporative or “swamp” cooler, which works well in dry climates but will raise humidity in sealed spaces unless you ventilate. Located on the bottom of the unit, the water reservoir serves a dual purpose: it feeds the cooling system and holds excess water produced during “cool” or “dehumidifier” mode. It holds up to three liters but needs at least one liter of water in the tank for proper operation. In “fan” mode, when the compressor is off, it draws power at around 10 watts. With the compressor engaged (“cool” or “dehumidifier”), I recorded a 600-watt startup spike, then a steady draw of 170–200 watts. The motor is a variable speed DC motor, but it does not ramp up slowly on cold startups. Once running, the airflow is refreshingly cool. Using an anemometer, I tested the air flow from the vent with the unit's fan on maximum speed and the compressor running. I measured 5.25 m/s, which is enough to provide a steady breeze in small spaces. The controls are intuitive: a touch panel for mode, fan speed, timer, and a vent swing function, plus a convenient remote. You can even add an exhaust kit (sold separately) to vent hot air outside a window for better humidity and temperature control. Noise levels run about 60 dB when the unit is running on max settings. This is comparable to a normal conversation a few feet away. Its advertised 38 dB was not achievable in my testing. At 30 lb. dry weight, it’s manageable but the included caster wheels help with mobility. In short, this is a quality 1800 BTU evaporative cooler excels at cooling small spaces quietly and efficiently. It doesn’t need an exhaust duct but the option to use one adds value and versatility. I like its low energy use, quiet running, and the swing door function which helps distributes air evenly. It isn’t a traditional AC but that’s the point. This “evaporative cooler” niche works exactly as advertised for the right situations and fits smalls spaces perfectly. Read more

This AC stopped draining from drain hose and leaked all over my floor !!!! It worked great until this happened. Read more
The media could not be loaded. This portable AC is advertised as “windowless,” but without an exhaust hose, it pushes hot air right back into your home, raising the temperature instead of cooling it. Even with the hose (sold separately), the cooling area is very small, and it struggled to lower the temperature in a standard bedroom. Works only under specific conditions, not a good choice if you need reliable cooling. Read more
Works fine. Delivers cold air when solicited. I'm still debating on wether or not I should hook up an exhaust hose to it. There is no hose etal included in the purchase. I found that I can actually place the AC right up against the screen of a window when the temperature outside has fallen way below the interior high temp that was created by absorbing sun rays during the day. I turn it on at dusk and it becomes a passive kind of cooler as it blows nice cool air into the room(s) while ejecting heat out the back into the cold temp outside. If unit is close to open window and outside temp is lower than inside, it will not blow back hot air into the room. Whereas, the accordion duct type of emission has definite blowback unless the windows is hermetically sealed which then turns the AC unit into something other than "portable." Read more
This is a very nice portable air conditioner. We have central air but there is an area that does not get that cool and we just needed to give the house a little extra help. The only thing not in the instructions is what type of water is to be expected in the air conditioner. We put distilled since we have hard water at home. This is very nice cools nicely we can move the air conditioner anywhere we need to. This is so helpful and that you have a remote is a nice addition. This was very easy to set up and get running. It seemed to take longer to get out of the of the box than to set up. Wheels is the only thing you need to put on. Rolls around nicely. Read more
