Bona Fide Beauty Czech Glass Nail File with Hardcase Rose Design Nail Filer with New Clear Case Gift

This is my first time ever using a glass nail file and I absolutely LOVE this! It’s a gorgeous tool (I got the single stem rose) and I feel it has elevated my self care ritual. I am very careful to place it back in the plastic case AND box that it arrived in. I’ve been caring for my nails at home for like 2 years after going to get gel manicures for a decade. I have gone through countless regular nail files, and I have spent so much money trying to get the right strengthener and oil and this and that and my goodness….. it’s a waste. This glass nail file has helped me retain SO MUCH of my nail length, I’ve nearly reached my goal!!!! My nails don’t break, despite the fact that I’m very active (I dance ands lift weights) and I’m a Montessori kindergarten teacher with a classroom full of wooden supplies and energetic children. I believe taking plant based iron and plant based calcium is the game changer that helped my nails thicken and I think jojoba oil is so so effective and got me as far as it could (considering my mineral levels weren’t optimal) but using this glass filter to shape and seal my nails….. It's handy to have a file around and glass ones really are the best. I also really like how this has a very slim case. It might not be as protective as some of the bulky cases, but it usually doesn't need to be. So you can slip this one in smaller places. Read more

Bona Fide is an excellent company which has been on the market for some time now. My first purchase of 10 set piece was in 2018 and I have never had to look for another file. The files are excellent. Recently, I was able to buy some cheaper glass files form you know where and the quality is not even close. I am looking for a effective and smoothest filing for my nails. I had a chance to talk to customer service, which is very helpful and responsive and find out that the files are hand dipped and they use the same 2 suppliers since 2014. Every file can be a little different, so I was able to compare different batches and styles from Bona Fide. On the left is the set I bought in 2018, Lineart set and current 5 piece set. 2018 set had the smoothest grit. Lineart file, at least in my case, had the roughest grit, although it was still smoother right at the tip. The 5 piece set had a variable grit-it was smoothest on the tip and roughest at the handle, giving you the opportunity to use whichever grittiness you prefer. The Lineart file has been packed beautifully and really gift worthy! It has the best plastic storage container which keeps the file pretty snug and safe. Considering that the files are hand dipped looks like smoother and grittier surface length can vary. When I have tried dupes from another country, not Czech glass, they were so rough, that they just ripped nails in shreds. Do yourself a favor and buy genuine Czech glass. You will never need another nail file again, unless you break it. Oh, almost forgot, they are super easy to clean, just run under the water, the glass will look like new and never deteriorate. Since I started using Bona Fide files I do not have split nails ever. To give you a little history I was looking for a good nail file forever and my nails improved since I got "stone" nail file about 25 year ago. The problem was that stone nail file clogged very easily and you could not clean it out and overtime it stopped being effective. This glass nail file is adorable. It comes with a nice cover case to protect it. The etched design is elegant and dainty. It’s really effective and good quality. I appreciate its lightness as that makes it easier to use. I wish the handle was a bit longer but it’s not a big deal. I’d totally get this again. Read more

I prefer glass nail files. My nails can be fragile at times, and the glass files have a more gentle touch. I don't get splitting or over filing, and I get a smoother edge than I do with an emery board. This fle not only does a nice job on my nails, but it is lovely to look at. It has a floral design on the handle and a protective storage case. The file is packaged in a nice box that is suitable for gifting. Read more
