This is the second time I've ordered this set. I decorate my office at work using battery operated Christmas lights, and also at home with Christmas lights outside on my front railing with garland and steps with luminaries. It costs so much to buy decent AA batteries, and then by Christmas they've gone through half of length of use, therefore not really being useable for much else. These batteries work well for my needs. However, they aren’t suitable as direct replacements for AA alkaline batteries, as they have about 1000 mAh less capacity than alkaline and do not last as long. I use them mostly for small LED lights, where they still last several days before needing a recharge. I overlooked the low milliamp-hour rating by not reading the description carefully. Read more

After writing this post, I have been in touch with customer service for this company. I am very impressed with the professionalism and they care to make it right with their customers. After my review the seller contacted me and offered me a full refund. I increased my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because of their quick customer service. As soon as the refund is credited to my account I will increase rating another star to 4. But that doesn't change my review about how the batteries performed for me. Seller indicates these batteries are "Pre-charged." In my case that is misleading information. Mine were dead right out of the box. I have a professional 3M battery tester that can adjust the load while testing the voltage. I set the tester on the low load setting. All 20 batteries tested dead. No voltage. I placed them in external chargers to see if they will even take a charge. Other reviewers indicate they lasted only a couple days, then wouldn't charge. Hope that's not the case with the ones I received. Hate to buy items that aren't as advertised. Updated: After charging in a professional charger, placed in solar lights. First night lasted 2 hours. After recharging in 9 hours of brilliant, full sunlight, lasted only 30 minutes the second night. Recharging another 9 hours in brilliant, full sunlight, they lasted only 20 minutes the third night. Replaced them with brand name rechargeable AA batteries, and the lights stayed on 8 hours for each of the next 4 nights. Don't bother buying these. They are definitely not worth the money. They didn't come pre-charged as advertised. They were dead out of the box. Then when recharged in a professional charger, they didn't hold the charge when first used. Subsequent use proved that these batteries are not acceptable for any kind of use. They charge back up to less than 10% of capacity and discharge within minutes. And changing to brand name batteries which lasted 8 hours proves the charging capability of the solar lights is not the problem. Don't waste your time or money on these batteries. Read more
