It's crazy how good this works for how light it is. I use a lot of battery jump packs and have for many years. I jump tractors, lawn and diesel farm ones. I jump old classic 7.3L F250 diesel engines in the cold, I jump tiny motorcycle engines, generators, jet skis, ski boats, etc... I have way too many engines and they almost all are electric start. Because a lot of the items sit for extended periods, the batteries are too low to turn over. So I always have a jump pack on me. Normally, I use a huge, heavy one as they work great, but a pain to lug around. This tiny, light weight thing is more powerful than all of my huge units and works fantastic. I can keep this in a large jacket pocket, in the glove box, in the small bag on my ATV or the dash of a jet ski. Wow, this is such a massive improvement. It also has a flashlight and phone charger. Note that you need a USB C cable to charge, which I have for my phone so no biggie, but it doesn't come with one. Also, there is an on/off switch on the side, which won't let anything work unless on (that's a very good thing, make sure it's always off unless in use). The case is nice, the functions easy to use, and the power is awesome. Battery life is excellent, and storage full seems to last a long time. Would give it more stars if possible. Read more
This battery pack has outperformed my expectations as it was able to jump start a completely drained battery due to the harsh winter, we've just had in the northeast. My older battery jump starter did not provide enough power to start the engine while this one started my mini-van up immediately. In addition to being a jump starter, it also functions as a power bank with USB A and C ports and also has a built-in flashlight. It comes in a nice travel case making it easy to travel and for storing inside your vehicle. The jump start process is so easy that you just need to connect the jumper connector to the battery pack which can only fit one way, while the colored coded clamps are then attached to the car battery terminals having the same colors as the clamps. Once connected, you just need to start the car. Overall, I would highly recommend this jump starter as it was able to jump start a completely drained battery where another model was unable to. I own several portable car jump boxes that are very similar to this one and this one is my favorite one yet. The case is nice, but no better or worse than my other units, and so it didn't factor into my 5 star rating. These items factored in: - Large 6000A peak output current - The USB power bank feature - Flash- and SOS-light feature - Cigarette lighter style 12V DC adapter And my favorite feature is the ability to crank things with completely dead batteries or no battery installed at all (e.g., my 13,000 Watt Briggs & Stratton emergency generator). The ability to do this is found in the short jumper cable that comes with the unit, and in particular the little recessed button labeled "RST" which, when pressed, bypasses the "must see some voltage in the correct polarity" safety protections (which are a good thing) to allow you to crank with no battery voltage from the equipment. This is a great value at $99 for a 6000A peak output jump box with the nice features that I detailed above. Read more
I recently found myself in need of a jump start and was without jumper cables or a jump pack. Fortunately, someone had a jump pack similar to this one and got us back on the road. I feel better prepared now that I have this device in my car. I love that it’s USB-C rechargeable and comes with a well-made storage case to keep the cords and jump pack together. It’s easy to use, and battery clamps seem well made. It came about 75% charged, and instructions say to fully charge it before use, which I did via a standard USB-C phone/tablet charger overnight. The USB power bank and flashlight are great features too, and I like the 12V DC “cigarette lighter” style cord that lets me power other 12V devices. The fact that it does not have a compressor is a plus for me too, as I think trying to cram too many features into a small form factor and keep it all affordable leads to lower overall quality. This one seems to focus on the main priority of being a jump pack, and that’s the important thing. I hope not to need it soon, but having it onboard provides great peace of mind. Read more
