Very pleased at the performance of the unit. Reacts immediately when dust is sensed. I tried a couple of different experiments like changing a vacuum bag I would normally do outside in an adjacent room. Those rings turned red, the fan immediately changed speed and the digital readings skyrocketed in seconds. In just a few minutes it reached normal and readings, fan speed and rings returned to blue. I realize not a scientific study however have watched other occurrences in routine daily activities and have been impressed. Bosch over the years has made quality products and so far this is another one. Not the cheapest however I think with my allergies worth the price. We purchased the Bosch Air Purifier after researching similar products. The purifier arrived as promised, and was easy to assemble. Within 24 hours, we noticed a significant increase in the air quality in our 2,800 sqft home. This thing is amazing! I have bad allergies and asthma and had been using the Honeywell machines. This Bosch 6000 is about 100 times better. It constantly monitors the air quality and it actually knows when the air quality declines and auto adjusts. I have it in a central area in my home. I scooped the litter box in another room down the hall and IT KNEW!! I guess it detected the car litter dust and and about 2 minutes later, it turned on red and ran at full speed for about 5 minutes and then went back down to blue. Another day I was dusting about 50 feet away from it with a feather duster and it detected the dust particles about 3 minutes later and auto adjusted the speed for a few minutes. It is also a very very quiet machine and does not interfere with the ambience of my home like most other air machines do. I was so amazed with this Bosch 6000 that I ordered the Bosch 4000 (smaller one) for my bedroom about 30 minutes after I opened the 6000. Read more
