As always, bosch is the highest quality out there. Great tool, plenty of power for it's intended application. If you are complaining about lack of clutch settings on this tool, you probably shouldn't be using a professional right angle drill. As others have mentioned, it will strip screws if you use it like a caveman. For those of us out there that actually know what we are doing, this tool is great: I love the swiveling head action and having the led lights are always a nice bonus, almost expected nowadays though. Chuck isn't a metal ratcheting chuck like I would prefer, but the plastic sleeve chuck grips bits very tightly with no slippage and appears to be of considerable toughness and quality. The paddle trigger is the best of any tool I have used, no "dead spots" where the tool won't engage like others I have used. Very responsive and variable. I have had no issues with the battery not coming out of the tool or not going into the charger. Something tells me the other reviewers who mention this are either suffering from "operator error", or simply just got a one-off bad battery, which happens with all tools every now and then. I got this on amazon on sale for 85 bucks with coupon, but it's still worth it at the retail of 120. Pull the trigger, it's worth the money and then some. Read more
Please note that I'm a newly minted weekend warrior in woodworking. Low level of skills, slightly higher level of knowledge. This drill - lots of power, speed easily controlled by oversized trigger. Easy to change angles. These are early days, but still on original charge after more than 65 drilled holes. For what I wanted, it's a little big, but also works better than I expected. It helped me to be more precise. Read more
In situations where I don't have enough space to use my full size drill or where I'm doing some light duty work like drilling pilot holes in wood at awkward angles, this has been a pretty good alternative. The only problem I have (and it seems to be relatively common considering some of the other reviews I've read) is that the head won't lock in the last position (straight out). It locks fine in the 90-degree position and every intermediate angle, but once it gets to that final stop it just won't click into place. I had considered returning it for this reason, but honestly I'm not sure how often I'd use it like that. I haven't needed to yet. Still, it's a design flaw that has affected several people, so it's something that needs to be fixed by the manufacturer. Otherwise, it's a great tool. Read more

This thing works great! I’ve been using it for a few months now. I bought it to drill holes in hard to reach tight spot area that was CAST IRON and it did it no problem! It drives screws no problem but be warned, set your torque. The 12V battery lasts a long time. But I bought a second battery after purchase. I’d buy this drill driver with (2) battery packs if it’s packaged that way. Probably cheaper. Read more

I own the older version of this tool (Bosch I-Driver 10.8V model #3 601 J19 U10). It is great! I've used it constantly and loved it for 10+ years and it hasn't broken, it's tuff and it operates smoothly every time. I only just recently had to replace the batteries for the first time! I needed another one, but unfortunately this ( PS11-102 12V Max 3/8 in Right Angle Drill/Driver) is the current replacement. First, when you depress the power trigger it sticks! Sometimes it requires a great deal of force to pull it out or you have to bang the tool against a hard surface to get it to release. Secondly, the head will not lock into the straight-up (180 degree) angle/position. It comes loose easily when you start using it and snaps into the next lower position. So I sent it back to Bosch under warranty. They returned to me in the exact same condition, only they had engraved some kind of tracking # on it. I sent it back to them again. This time they sent me a new one. It had the exact same problem! I thought "wow, what are the chances?" So I bought another one from Amazon. It was delivered today... and it has the SAME PROBLEMS. The design of this tool is a defective disappointment. Do not buy until they come out with a new model. I REALLY WISH the was still available! Additionally the newer PS11-102 is needlessly longer/larger and harder to handle than the older I-Driver. Read more
