Decent budget all around rice. Should be fairly low in arsenic since it's grown in California. Calrose rice is about 80% amylopectin starch which is easier to digest than amylose. This should be similar to most short grain varieties. If you want close to 100% you'll need to spend more on glutinous rice. AFAIK it's a few percent higher amylopectin than other varieties of medium grain white rice such as nishiki and kokuho-rose. The bag I received was a new crop bag.
