Sobre este artículo

  • WHY THIS BOVEDA: 4 STANDARD REPLACEMENT PACKS FOR BOVEDA STARTER KITS—SMALL, LARGE & DIRECTIONAL & TO FILL BOVEDA SINGLE & DOUBLE FABRIC HOLDERS. Protects fretted, bowed & woodwind instruments from humidity fluctuations. Maintains the ideal humidity level in an instrument case. NATURAL INGREDIENTS. Trusted by over 3 million people to protect & maintain items at the perfect humidity level. WE GUARANTEE QUALITY!
  • HOW BOVEDA WORKS FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: Boveda 49% RH protects wood instruments & their accessories by stabilizing the humidity within the ideal range—45–55% RH. If the air inside a case is too moist, Boveda absorbs that moisture. If it's too dry, Boveda releases small amounts of water vapor into the case. Wide humidity fluctuations will cause the wood to expand or shrink, which puts stress on the instrument & degrades its performance abilities.
  • CHOOSE BOVEDA: Boveda's the only patented 2-way humidity control solution with 25 years of experience. Using saltwater in our humidity packs, we provide the fastest, most precise humidity control in the market for wood instruments. When you invest in an instrument, you want to ensure you take care of it to produce optimal sound. Boveda is the only humidity solution that can do so within 24-48 hours.
  • HOW TO USE: Always insert Boveda packs into a protective Boveda Fabric Holder before using in an instrument case. Boveda Fabric Holders are available separately & in Boveda Starter Kits. Remove a pack from the resealable bag. DO NOT cut or open the brown humidity packet. Slip the packet(s) into the holder(s). Place in case and close the lid. BOVEDA DOES THE REST. Replace every 3 months. You'll know it's time to swap out Boveda when it becomes hard & crunchy. NEVER MIX the 49% with any other %RH.
  • WHO IS BOVEDA FOR: Boveda 49% RH is for acoustic & electric GUITAR players & musicians who play WOODWINDS & BOWED INSTRUMENTS. Professional musicians, band & orchestra leaders, instrument techs, music teachers, hobbyists & student musicians use Boveda packs for easy & precise humidity management for instrument storage. NO DAILY MAINTENANCE! Don’t risk damaging an instrument by adding water to sponges and snakes & forgetting to refill them. WHY RISK A WARPED OR CRACKED INSTRUMENT?

Great Humidifier for Ukuleles

I use 49% RH Boveda Packs to keep my wooden tenor ukuleles humidified when the RH gets below 42% in the Winter. Especially when the furnace is running. The humidity often gets below 18% RH here in Wisconsin. They are great. Absorb moisture and releases it to keep a pretty constant level in my ukulele cases. Some cases require that I place a pack in the body of the uke, others that are more airtight, I keep one above the heel. I also place an older, rejuvenated pack under the headstock. I strongly recommend that you use these in a Boveda Sleeve. It prevents the pack from coming in contact with the finish or wood of the instrument. In the very remote chance that a pack gets damp it also protects the wood. (Out of 400+ packs over the years, I've only had one get a damp spot. Back when they used a crystalline absorption material that I squeezed too hard and it punctured the inner envelope. They now use a plant-based material.) The sleeve also helps provide a more uniform release of moisture. Smaller ukes may require a different placement in the case. Larger baris may need two. Boveda recommends hanging two packs over the strings and into the body. With a third in the headstock part of the case. Great product. Low maintenance. Read more

Perfect for guitars

I have been using the Boveda 49% Humidity Packs for years in all of my acoustic and electric guitars. They are super easy to use. There is no muss, no fuss as the gel liquid is in sealed the packets. I live in the NE so with the heat on in the winter it can be very dry (low humidity) and without a/c the summers get pretty sticky (high humidity). These packs do a pretty good job regulating the humidity in the case. I use the Boveda Double holders which holds two humidity packs and put one double holder over the strings and hang it into the sound hole of my acoustics and one double holder with two packs under the headstock. The inside of the case stays between 45% and 55% which is ideal. I do the same for my electrics but I only use one double under the headstock. I found this is enough to keep the fretboard hydrated and prevent fret sprout. I find that I am getting 8-12 months of use out of the packs using them the way I do once they are opened. I buy in bulk and store the unused, unopened packets in heavy duty zip lock bags. Never had a problem doing this even if they are stored for a year. Read more

For the money I'm impressed with this bass overall setup was good out of the box did need a little tweak for my taste the finish is killer hardware is solid bass stays in tune pretty good pickups are a little better than two former squire basses that I once owned for what your getting is a solid quality bass should be worth more than it's $69 price tag I think squire could learn a thing or to when it comes to quality control.Verified purchase

Well worth having to protect your instruments from low humidity conditions!

I use the 49% in my ukulele gig bags of assorted materials and they work a treat. I keep spares in the freezer and recharge the ones in use by placing them in a closed tuperware dish that holds a small dish of water to provide humidity to restore the bags (never allow the boveda pack to get wet!). This process takes time depending on how dry the boveda bag becomes- sometimes a week or more so it's good to have a few extra so you always have a well humidified instrument. I have zero leakage problems nor do they scratch instrument finishes. Read more

I love these Boveda humidity control packs for my ukulele cases

These Boveda humidity packs regulate humidity (the percentage humidity is marked on the pack. For ukuleles and other fretted musical instruments it's 49%.) Note they are NOT a humidifier - they simply help keep the humidity stable (+/- 5%). First use a humidistat (like a thermometer but for humidity) to determine the relative humidity in the room where you keep your instruments so you know where you are starting from. Adjust the humidity in the room with a humidifier (or hang wet towels on a rack in the room) OR use a dehumidifier if needed, to get the humidity as close as you can to 49%. Insert the packs into their soft case (don't use without the case) then put the packs in the instrument case. It will absorb up to 10% excess humidity and if needed, it will release it's humidity in about the same amount through vapor when needed. They state the packs last for around 3 months so you will need to reorder the insert packs a few times per year. Still it's a lot less expensive than having to get your instrument fixed if it cracks from low humidity or buckles due to high humidity- especially if your instrument is made from solid wood (laminate wood is not as susceptible to humidity changes). I have them in each one of my instrument cases, regardless of the wood used to make them. Read more
