I knew my son would love this! He spent a good portion of the day hitting this ball. It took a minute to get into the groove but once he did, he just got more and more consistent. It was a good workout and fun! It seems pretty durable but the string got a knot in it when one of the younger grands tried it. The app includes global leaderboards and a "live Battles" mode where you can compete against others virtually. This is a versatile family activity, and I should have purchased more than one. It is for all ages. It feels like a game, but it provides a cardio workout that helps burn calories and improve concentration. There is a learning curve, and it might be trickier to master for some. It is essentially a ball on a string, but the value found is more in the software-linked competition than the hardware itself. The adjustable headband is made of neoprene with velcro, the ball is made of polyurethane and attached to an elastic with a string, and there is a QR code for the app. It functions as a fun game with fitness benefits, for all ages. As you master the skill you get faster at it and more reps will improve your chances of winning a competition. It seems pretty durable, but time will tell. This is so much fun. I bought this for a family member. It is portable and can be tucked away in a suitcase or backpack and almost anywhere. Even in smaller spaces. This is a fun gift! My 11 yr old grandson had to toss the attachment line around the headband several times to shorten it so his arms could reach the ball. That made it easier to hit the ball as he was learning how much/little force it took to hit the ball. All ages tried it and had fun. I like that it comes with a nice storage bag too. Read more
I’ll start by saying that the packaging a materials are high quality. The headband has anti slip material inside but it’s not rubbery enough to hurt those with longer hair. The ball is nice and squishy so it doesn’t really hurt when you inevitably get hit with it. The string is long though, so you have to adjust it according to arm reach and there’s no directions for that in the box. I haven’t checked the QR code for that information but it would be better if there was a “quick start” type info pamphlet in the box. I gave it 3 stars because there’s nothing extraordinary about it.
