I like how this flosser doesn't have the knot of floss outside of the flat end that can get caught on the wire like the Lily & Edith brand has, but it's a trade off as I like the eco friendly and less chemical use of the Lily & Edith brand, while this Vinsulla brand is made in China so no idea on the safety of the materials. I use Lily & Edith ones where I have a mirror I can look in, and the Vinsulla ones are in my purse for use where I can't see what I'm doing; the double string flosser does collect too! I found both of these have a more functional "toothpick" end than the weak Platypus one. There are others out there that I was intrigued by, Grin is with recycled plastic and has a pick on the end that looks more similar to a flat head screwdriver (not practical for picking food debris out, but good for wax I suppose and probably more comfortable to have in your pocket), Lackey Face comes with a container to hold flossers inside (I'm unsure if the ortho flosser is of recycled plastic, BPA free, or of biodegradable materials like some of their other flossers are), and Dr Emma brand is eco friendly but has a weak looking pick simular to the Platypus brand. There are other brands out there specific to orthodontic needs, but many didn't specify what kind of materials they were made with and most came from China so I didn't try them. If this brand was of biodegradable materials I'd give it a 5 star, and if BPA free or at least recycled materials then a 4 star, but I can't find any of that information. They do work well and came packaged in two ziplock bags that are convenient to put in car glove box. Read more
