I’ve gone through countless brands of floss picks over the years, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well these hold up. The floss is durable yet gentle on my gums. The grip looks flimsy but it actually works perfectly and has a comfortable grip. One of my biggest concerns with floss picks is the environmental impact so I absolutely love that these are made out of biodegradable materials. I appreciate that each pick is individually wrapped. It makes them perfect for tossing in my car or purse without worry about hygiene. The other thing I love is the mint flavor it’s subtle yet refreshing, and it leaves my mouth feeling clean without any artificial chemical taste. After using these for a couple weeks, I can confidently say these are the rolls Royce of floss picks. I like these floss picks so much I now can’t stand the other brands. These little Dental flosses are great to travel with because they are individually wrapped. They have a pick on the end and the floss itself has a slight flavor to it. I’m not sure how many come in this container but it seems like it’s a good value for the amount that they give you. They work very well and don’t fray like others I have used. Read more

The packaging was an odd choice. The outer container is very thick, and absolutely seems like it was intended as a rigid dispenser. However, each item is individually wrapped. This container is overkill for this purpose, but seems like it would have been perfect if lined for dispensing unwrapped flossers (which would normally come in a bag). The packaging waste seems strange on a product specifically touting biodegradability, which would generally go along with consumer attitudes about minimizing waste. I am used to using traditional floss around my fingers, although I have used flossers on occasion, myself. The bite surfaces of my teeth are exceptionally tight, moreso than the portions just above my gums. As a result, I use toothpicks to remove chunks a lot. The included pick was exceptionally useful for that purpose. The actual flossing portion was a bit rough for me, due to the tight teeth and higher force required, but the floss itself held up. I gripped it quite close to the head, so my fingers were inside my mouth. The handle seemed quite rigid for this purpose. I also floss my son's (4Y) teeth with kids flossers nightly (weird fruity flavors). The pick is the biggest difference I see in the physical construction of the kids flossers vs some of the adult models like this. The kids ones have thick handles all the way down, and you grip them further back. I did not attempt to use these flossers with him, as I didn't think it was appropriate. While the product we received was labeled Mint Flavor, the ones we received were completely flavorless. I made it a point to lick each one I used for a week just to to confirm it wasn't an isolated issue within the pack. It just felt really weird using unflavored floss. It needs something there, even just a little bit of flavor added, as I experienced some other extremely mild, but unpleasant flavor. It may have been some residue on the handle itself, the corn starch dissolving, or even just transferring something from between my teeth to my tongue. It was extremely mild and hard to place, but just felt wrong. I will admit that I'm often exposed to another's Chinese cooking with corn starch, and I think it degrades the flavor of the food without question (so, compromising flavor to get a specific feel of the meat). So, the off flavor experience might very well be a me-thing? I still prefer traditional floss, for myself, but would likely bring a few of these in my toiletry kit for a short trip. I wouldn't purchase them for that purpose, however. My wife by comparison, uses flossers daily. She thought the handles on this product were flimsy compared to the kids ones she normally uses. The handle itself is much more stiff than the kids ones, but it has a different geometry. I can only conclude she is trying to hold it farther back, near the pick point and is dealing with some flex and potentially grip sisues. Unfortunately, she flosses while I'm at work, so I have not directly observed her using this product. She said they work, but is not a fan. These are more than 4 times as expensive as the plastic kids flossers my wife and kids normally uses, and more than twice as expensive as other eco-friendly products like Wheat Straw I see on Amazon (but have not tested). It is not worth the price premium, in my opinion. I suspect much of that price is going towards the excessive packaging. The other products I see all have much simpler packaging. Update: I just got a flosser with flavor (after a couple weeks). There must have been a bad production run that my package crossed. It was definitely mint, but the flavor was slow to build, compared to traditional floss. The experience was MUCH better with some flavor, though. Not changing my rating due to the QC issue, however.
