First, I was impressed that it was made in Germany, not China. After trying it for a few days, I fell in love with it. I have tried at least four variations of wrist brace for my De Quervain tendon inflammation in the past 2.5 months. It is either too rigid (one with a metal strip along the thumb), or the whole thing is an elastic band without Velcro - the only way to wear it is to force your hand into the elastic band, which hurts. This brace works the best, as it is comfortable, fits your hand well, and has adjustable Velcro. Most importantly. This one has the metal supports placed towards the palm and the back of the hands; avoid the inflamed tendon around the thumb while providing enough support. Also, it's lightweight. Although this is comfortable and will give me the support I need to get through my work day I have taken one star off because of how thin the velcro on the thumb is, I am afraid that thin strip won't hold up. Without a brace I can't make it through my work shift. I work with a lot of shoe freight. This will give me the support I need! With the price being this good, I will see how well the velcro holds up around the thumb, and get an extra one so I always have that needed support. These are great! The velcro on other brands is so tough to pull open, and it wears out quickly, these are easy to use, and are effective. The little liner inside is great, the other ones rub, and cause a blister. The fact that these are in pink is amazing! Read more
I purchased this to wear this at night due to PsA. It’s a good thumb & wrist stabilizer. My skin is very sensitive, and I have had no problems with this brace. I hand wash it in lukewarm and dish soap. I purchased the pink brace. It’s nice to have a different choice. Read more
Let me begin by saying I suffer from a rare autoinflammatory disease that is very rare. One of the symptoms is joint and tendon pain that comes out of nowhere and rotates around my body. My current pain is in my right thumb. All of the joints in my thumb hurt. I ordered this product at the advice of the orthopedic doctor. I ordered from this seller because I was told it would be here next day. There were cheaper options available that would arrive in two days. Unfortunately this splint arrived late. It also came with loose stitching. My thumb was in so much pain, I just put it on regardless. This was the first time I wore a splint like this, so when it was difficult to secure the Velcro closure at the wrist, I thought it was just me having difficulty with my left hand (I’m a righty). Now after wearing it a few days, I realize it’s also too small. This is upsetting because I measured myself using the guide and picked medium (even added a little-just in case). So to sum it up… it didn’t arrive when Amazon said it was and I was in pain. The stitching was loose (maybe it was a return) and it’s too small. Read more
Fit is great for my painful thumb and wrist. Also like that it can be used on both hands (my hands take turns flaring up). Velcro...thus far...seems strong and should last a good long while. Not really bulky, just "different" from the wrist wrap I was using before this arrived (it's like getting a new pair of shoes after wearing "old comfies"). This thumb brace works great. I can do things that would normally hurt, like cutting, while wearing the thumb brace. It stabilizes the thumb but is flexible enough to allow me to cut easily. The brace is easy to put on and adjustable with a wrist strap for stability and an adjustable thumb strap. There are supportive stays that run up the thumb. These are comfortable compared to other thumb braces I’ve tried. The stays are not adjustable and don’t need to be. They work fine with the adjusting that you do to the wrist snd thumb parts. Other braces have crimping stays that are not comfortable and very difficult to adjust. It isn’t too bulky. It isn’t hot. Overall, I love this thumb brace! Read more
