Excellent, excellent trimmer. Most of my life I've just used traditional hair clippers and while they work well, this product is more specialized for beards and body hair. It's a bit easier to maneuver around your body. It feels pretty well made and even though it's not as "premium" as the higher up Braun trimmers, it still feels super solid. My only complaint to Braun is that they have WAY too many products and need to clean up the number of products they have and create some clear distinctions between the products. I have coarse hair and need something with power to cut through my beard. These clipper had no problem cutting through my tough beard. The main benefit of these trimmers is the convenience. I have another trimmer that requires changing guards for every length. But the ability to simply turn the dial and maybe change the guard once is a game changer. It is easy to change the guards and attachments too. They simply slide off but stays in place while trimming. The product feels good in hand which makes it even easier to use. Another convenience is that it is a cordless trimmer. But at this point, I wouldn't except anything with a cord. Regarding the other attachments, some are useless for me. The razor itself without the guards will NOT cut my shorter coarse hair. It does nothing. And the precision/detail guard is awkward. I would have much rather receive a separate clipper head for trimming my mustache. That is the only reason I'm lower the rating from 5 to 4. The lack of any practical tool for trimming the mustache requires me to hold on to my older trimmers. So these aren't as convenient as I had hoped. But if you have no need to trim your mustache you would be pleased with this unit. Read more

This trimmer has a fairly simple, almost old-fashioned look compared to many newer models. There is no digital screen, just a physical adjustment wheel and a few buttons. Personally, I do not mind that at all, and it keeps the controls straightforward. It comes with a good selection of attachments, including longer hair trimmers, a nose trimmer, and a shave head that quickly became my favorite. That shave head is a foil-style design with a perforated metal foil in the center and trimmers on each side. The side trimmers cut longer hairs first, while the foil shaves down the shorter stubble. In practice, this saves time because it trims and shaves in one pass instead of having to switch heads. You still need to go back and forth a bit to catch everything, which is normal for me with any shaver. The combo head works well overall. If I move too quickly, it can occasionally tug a hair, but that is typical of electric shavers in general and not something that stood out as excessive here. I did not experience any real irritation beyond what I normally expect. I noticed one small red spot afterward, likely from the very close side trimmers, but nothing that lingered or caused discomfort. I used it dry only. Even though it is rated as waterproof, I prefer dry shaving. Noise level seemed average, not especially loud. All of the attachments snap on securely and feel solid. One thing I really liked is how easy the foil combo head is to clean. It opens up in a controlled way without small parts flying apart, which makes maintenance much less annoying compared to some other shavers I have used. There is a small cleaning brush included, but no bottle of oil. The blades appear to be metal rather than ceramic, which is fine for my use. The adjustment wheel allows fine control over cutting length with the longer trimming attachments, though I personally expect to use the combo shave head most of the time. Overall, this has become my go-to shaver mainly because of that well-designed combo head. It simplifies the process and works better for me than switching between multiple heads on other trimmers.
