My 10 yr old was using this mixer to make cupcakes, (first time the mixer had been used) the motor started to smoke, beaters stopped turning. I put the mixer in the driveway until it stopped smoking, opened the doors to air out that burnt smell. The mixer was small, the beaters are smaller than an average mixer I knew I should have returned the item then but the color went with my kitchen.
