I have fun Funwhole/Lumibricks to be the best alternative to Lego. When compared with other building sets, the value here is unmistakable. I found the pieces to be of a high quality with a good lock. The pieces felt good too, not cheap like some other brands. I can't say enough good things about this brand. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, easy to follow and the book quality was really nice. I have seen some others state the colors are a bit off, but I have experienced that with the leading brand too. The details are amazing with some fun new building techniques you can use later in your own Mocs. I didn't have any missing pieces. The one and only time I was confused, was the sign above the front doors. It comes assembled, but you need to take it apart, because you need the brick out of it, it actually goes together a littler differently that when you get it... so if you are thinking you are missing a gray, 4 x 4 plate, you aren't, take it out of the sign! I would highly recommend this to anyone that is a fan of brick building and the lights just set this off to the next level. Read more

I have built many Lego modular sets over the years. The detail that Lumibricks brings to the table is truly amazing. Very clever build architecture and design. Clear build instruction and excellent packaging. The inclusive lighting kit is a nice bonus (not to mention the tweezers). This is my first Lumibricks build. Excellent set rivalling Lego in quality at roughly half the price at less than 5 cents a brick. An extra bonus is that it comes with a lighting kit, which typically costs another $30-$50 if you buy one from a third party. The wiring of the lights is very cleverly hidden by the use of specialized bricks that have cutouts to run the wires through. The floors can be separated without worrying about disconnecting any of the wires due to the use of electrical connectors built into the perimeter of each floor. And incorporating the lights into the build itself eliminates the need to disassemble large parts of the structure, which is usually required with third party lighting sets. There was not a single piece missing nor a single sticker. Although the bricks don't click together as crisply as Lego bricks do, that's a small price to pay for such a fantastic value! Read more
Had to change review to 4 stars because although it is STUNNING, even my husband who has a master's in engineering couldn't fix the wires that broke so easily. Only 1 light works in the entire build. :( I always scrolled by this brand. After spending nearly $300 on a tiny lego set, although it reignited my passion for building, and helped me get through a very sad time in my life, I knew if I wanted more, $300+ a set was unattainable. This build and brand remained in my "save for later" cart, but I sought out cheaper sets. I ended up spent hundreds on off-brand lego sets...that fall apart the second you move them...or miss one tiny piece that somehow holds the entire thing together. My fingers have literally bled from the quality of some of them. My theory was that, if the set was cheap, I could justify buying more of them, and more often. However, some of them took days and just ended up as spare parts. Anyways, I should've just bit the bullet and gotten this brand/build from the start! Not only is this set incredibly beautiful and so detailed, it is sooo much easier to put together than even my Legos sets. Although one of my light cords snapped and basically ruined one of the lines of lights, the ease and quality of the lights are incredible! No more dangling fairy lights like my other builds that die after a day and are too entertwined in the build to replace. I can't wait to expand my collection! Don't tell my Husband. 😂 Read more
