Briggs New York Womens Petite Bi-Stretch Tummy Straight Leg Pant

The pants are very comfortable and fit well. I ordered the same size I usually buy in department stores, and they are OK. The fabric is stretchy, so I think the pants cover a couple of sizes easily. The pockets were sewn shut when the pants arrived, but the thread started becoming loose as I was wearing the pants, so I opened them and they are fine. The fabric is OK, fairly thick and decent looking. It does have a synthetic feeling, but it fairly thick, it hangs well and is not see-through. The grey was a classic grey, a little smoother and the color more uniform than it looked in the picture. (I was expecting some kind of texture). The fabric did not stretch considerably through the day, so the pants fit the same through the day (I have a pair of jeans that are tight in the morning and need a belt in the afternoon). There are some loose threads, but the workmanship is similar to what one would expect in a pair of department store pants of similar cost. All things considered, a good buy for the price, especially considering the fact that the pants have pockets. We'll see how long they last, I will update the review if they fall apart too soon. I give this four stars only because they run a teensy tiny bit small. I ordered the size 16, but they are snug, but wearable. They are not too small so as to be uncomfortable. That said, the quality of the fabric was much better than I expected. I am slightly under 5'6 and I only wear ballet flats to the office. The hem falls just at the top of my foot/top of the heel of my flats. I'm comfortable with this hem length, but they rise a bit high if I cross my leg. They have a vertically-wide waistband with a substantial button and give some "tummy flattening" shaping. I don't like pants with tiny, flimsy buttons. They wash well, and if you pull them from the dryer immediately, they won't need an iron. If they do need an iron, a quick pass is enough. I'm 5'4" 140 pounds. Curvy with theighs and a booty. I ordered the 10P. The pants fasten with 2 buttons(one seen and one unseen) at the belly button and have a snig fit. The Hem and inseam is perfect. Material is professional/ business like. Not see thru. Very comfortable. I ordered another pair the same day I got them. Perfect for uniforms that require black pants. Finally some dress pants that fit me exactly & are super comfortable. I had an upcoming interview and I needed some pants in a rush. Amazon Prime delivered these within two days & the fit was amazing. The pants hug all the right places and cover all the wrong ones. The length is just right, no need for cuffing or hemming. I gave this a 1 star because two of the three pairs of pants that I purchased fit perfectly; I just don't understand the size difference in the same brand. I am 5'3" , size medium, 10P for bottoms, pearish shaped (for reference). After reading the reviews, I ordered at 12P. They were pretty big so I think I could have ordered my real size. I returned them and would re-order them in a size smaller, but they are too long and will have to be hemmed if I keep them. I don't want to hassle with re-ordering slacks that arent really petite and then have take them up. BUT it was an easy return. They are soft and the material and color are nice. Read more

Love these pants. Bargain-priced, perfect length (5'3, petite), straight leg instead of tapered or flared, comfortable with nice waist band, well-made, no need to iron if you pull them out of dryer immediately. Loved my first pair so much I bought two more colors. Highly recommend! Read more
