Update - forgot to mention how good the water tastes filtered through this Brita system. My daughter refills her huge water bottle everyday with this filtered water rather than the cold, filtered water from the fridge. The size, ease of installation and use, filter quality and amount of water flow makes this Brita system work so well. Our area is terrible for limestone in the water. Doesn’t hurt the taste but does make havoc on your coffee makers and kettles. Doesn’t matter if electric or manual as the minerals settle in and ruin the insides. Only frequent, regular cleaning keeps the limestone from destroying them. Since using these filters with this Brita system, I haven’t had to clean our electric coffee maker at all. Water runs through quickly and I can't tell if it is going past the sides of the cartridge or just filtering fast. Even though Crofton says to use Brita cartridges, I'm not sure they fit quite right.
