Given that most wrist rests (including this one) are made for full size keyboards, they are far too wide to work well with smaller compact/mini keyboards. This one, however, has a talent that I have yet to see mentioned in any review. If the beads are shaken down into one end of the pad (imagine a sock, 2/3 full of beans), the empty end can be pushed into the center of the beads in the full end. Mine is now 11-1/2" long (matching the width of my compact keyboard). As an added bonus, it is much thicker, allowing your wrists to sink more comfortably into the beads. So far, the 'tucked in' portion has stayed in place without problem. If you have a smaller keyboard, this product is DEFINITELY whe way to go!! Read more

The beads that are inside the cushion move to the sides of your wrists when you are typing so it doesn't help much. This is with the use of a laptop. It might work with a regular keyboard. Read more

I had one of these ordered for me at work (their mouse pad/wrist rest combo, too) because of chronic wrist pain from keyboarding. My keyboard is actually on top of my desk, and my wrist rest was an old gel pad that was rather hard. This is basically a tube of black t-shirt fabric filled with their "ergo beads", and no joke, it doesn't get warm under your wrists and is like resting them on a pillow. You can adjust it to your keyboard shape, shift beads around to make it more comfortable, etc. There is also no industrial chemical smell that is present in alot of gel rests. It has already made a huge difference in my wrist pain in one day of use. I'm going to get another one for home! Read more

FAR TOO SHORT! I have a Microsoft Ergonomic Natural 4000 keyboard, and the cushion is at least 6 inches too short. Run along the base of the keyboard, as the package diagram suggests, leaves me with about 2 inches on the left and 4 inches of the right which the cushion does not cover. This leaves me having to place my writes at the each end of the cushion, making typing MORE uncomfortable than without it. Imak do make good mouse pad wrist rests, but this is a PIECE OF JUNK! I got this wrist cushion to match the IMAK Non-Skid Mouse Pad. It has the same tiny beads that conform to my wrist, providing support and comfort. The only thing that I do not like about the wrist cushion is the color. My previous IMAK wrist cushion was mottled gray which looked nice. But I got this wrist cushion in black (to match the mouse pad) and it shows everything! I have to use a lint roller on it every now and then. A little annoying but not a deal-breaker. If you are lucky enough to be comparing wrist pads and keyboard pads, then I can vouche for the IMAK brand of mouse and keyboard ergonomic products. They work great! They're not stiff, they're like bean bags where you can shape its contour to your needs. The only thing I find annoying is that if your have the pads close to the edge of the desk or table it seems that they fall to the floor often and you have to pick them up and reposition them. Every now and then its a good idea to bounce the bean bag out of shape so that it won't get compressed and feel compacted instead of cushioney! Type Type Type Read more
