These loafers are great! The velvet exterior is shiny while still being fuzzy and keeping the loafers professional. The interior is well padded and very comfy to wear for a long period. The only complaint about the feel I have is how intensely the lip of the loafers dig into my ankles. But that's only an issue with my feet at very specific angles (such as kneeling). The design on the outside surprised me. I thought these were just black, but they have a very intricate design over the entire shoe. The heel is raised more than I was expecting. It feels like a full inch of heel. I'm not a fan of that, but it doesn't ruin the loafers. Overall, I'd say these are excellent loafers for a great price, but I probably won't get these again in the future. Read more

I didn't expect to like these as much as I do. I am between a 10.5 and 11, extra wide, and it's hard to find shoes that fit at all, let alone that look good. It's been many years since I've had a shoe with a more pointed toe that was still wide enough- I guess that's a warning if you have very narrow feet. These slip on easily and 11's fit me great with thicker dress socks- I wouldn't want to go on a hike in them, but that's not what they are for. The pattern is really cool- the paisley velvet somehow makes them seem darker than typical black dress shoes, but is still visible. I think it will also be harder to clean, and will likely wear down under heavy use or frequent brushing. So, if worn as intended- as a subtly stylish accessory making occasional appearances under a tuxedo or black three piece suit, they look great, and will definitely stand up to use on a red carpet, dance floor, or VIP lounge. I don't know that they would be my first choice for regular work rotation, not because there's anything wrong with them, but I think part of their comfort and style comes from lighter construction.
