This is a soft, silky caftan that's perfect for a hot day. Measurements: ~52 inches long from the top of back of neck to the hem is ~52 inches. I'm 5'9 and it hits at my ankles. Armholes are ~11 inches long and armpit to armpit measurement is ~29 inches. It may look bigger in the photos, but that's because there's extra (~4 inches) fabric beyond the seams to contribute to the flowy appearance of the garment. The only drawback for me is the deep, plunging V- neck which goes all the way to the bottom of my bra strap. So, I either need an undershirt or camisole when I wear it; otherwise part of my bra will likely show. You could also wear it without a bra (like the very thin model in the listing), but that's way too much cleavage display for me and my gals. I'm not looking for that kind of attention. Read more

This is an excellent flowy dress that could be used in many different ways. For example, it could be great beach dress for ladies who did not want to show big parts of their body. It could also be dressed up with a nice belt or accessories for an evening out or for errands around town. It is very versatile and very lightweight so it can be used many months out of the year in most geographical locations. In my case, I bought it for my elderly mother who is still stylish and still going out, going shopping, and doing errands. The material is soft against the skin and not scratchy. The fabric is breathable and flowing. The stitching is neat, but it is not a strong double stitch. The embellishments in the front are reminiscent of costume jewelry, but the dress does not look cheap. It has a classic sophisticated vibe. This dress is not as figure flattering, as it is in the advertisement. It is basically a straight garment. The embellishment in the front offers a slight clench, but not enough to make a waist. This garment would be super comfortable to wear as a cover up or around the house as a moo moo. I am 5' 2, and it does slightly drag the floor while I am wearing it. This is most definitely the flowy kaftan, 70s style mumu that will drape any body shape in flowy emerald green. The fabric is very light weight, think breezy summer weight, but not sheer. It is so absolutely comfortable, especially if you are in that stage of life where "being flashy" is less about fashion and more about hot, unpredictable sweats. I was surprised that the gold detail, both on the fabric pattern and in the braided trim, are actually metallic gold, not just print, which is a nice touch of glam.
