TL:DR - this product works for me at keeping away mosquitos and I recommend it. Longer version: I always seem to be a magnet for mosquitos. I go for a hike or paddle at the local lake and I come back covered in bites. This is even after liberally spraying myself with bug spray with the highest permissible level of Deet. Heck, I can go out to get something from the truck and get bitten. I have now used the Bullfrog spray six times with not a single bite. This includes paddling at the lake twice (about 2 hours each); two hikes (2-3 hours each); an outdoor concert at dusk (5:30PM to 10:30PM) and once gardening for over 2 hours. I have never been bite free before. As far as the sun block effectiveness. My wife typically uses SPF70+ creams as she burns easily. With the Bullfrog spray, she got a little pink when we were paddling. Maybe not as good as her original sun block but it works. As someone who gets devoured by mosquitoes and reacts horribly, this product is fantastic. It’s a perfect mix of sunscreen and bug repellent, way easier than juggling separate products and lugging them around. I’d say grab the aerosol spray version if you can, it’s the best bang for your buck, but this is a solid alternative when that’s not available. Read more

This stuff does what it claims, so far as I can tell: I've had no problems with bugs while using it, and my very fair skin hasn't burned. So A+ on those points. I'm not a fan of the pump spray bottle, however, for two reasons. First, it's ergonomically awkward. I couldn't really tell you why, but it's harder than it should be to spray with my left hand.Fine with my right. That's my dominant hand, but my left hand isn't weak. Something about the grip and the resistance makes it awkward. Second, the bottle seems to want to leak or somehow ooze its contents. I left it on a finished wood surface for a few days and it lifted some of the finish off! Solve those issues and the stuff is great! Read more
