I had a coffee grinder for many years that I thought was quite good. However, one fateful morning it died. Without warning. So I searched and found this coffee grinder on Amazon. It was rather reasonably priced, even though it was an unexpected purchase. When it arrived, I was so excited! It looked beautiful! Sleek, modern, functional, yet still attractive sitting on my counter. It was important to me that it be a burr grinder, and not a blade that slices up the beans. This one checked off all my necessary points, and looked much nicer than my prior one. Testing the grind size? Check. The dial selector is functional for grinding the beans to the desired fineness or coarseness. Now, the auto select for the number of cups won me over. I selected the number of cups I wanted to brew and this machine ground the perfect amount. I even measured the number of tablespoons per cup! It’s smart! The hopper holds a generous amount of beans without being too cumbersome. So now every morning I grind the perfect amount of coffee at the level of fineness that I prefer, to brew the perfect cup to start the day. I use a pour over system, so every cup is perfect! I wish I had discovered this sooner! The only drawback, if any, is that there is a slight plastic-y smell when grinding the coffee beans. I’ve been using it for a couple of months, and it does seem like that smell is diminishing. So I am looking forward to it disappearing for good so I only smell the wonderful aroma of the freshly ground beans. Read more

Have had a flat burr grinder for years and was generally happy with it, but it finally died, so I went on the deep research dive and decided on purchasing this Ollygrin grinder. Let may say, it has exceeded my expectations. The conical burr is far superior to flat burr which ground at a higher speed and I always thought it burned the coffee, got clogged often and was quite loud. This Ollygrin grinds at a much slower speed preserving flavor. Has not clogged once (and I’m embarrassed to say I have not cleaned it - although it is so much easier to clean - ha ha - hey, I’ve been busy:) Seems very well built but we’ll have to see how long it lasts. Controls and grind settings are very specific and I love that. Can get that perfect size grind and amount for our pour-overs or Areo Press, which is our preferred brewing methods. I love this Ollygrin Burr Coffee Grinder. It looks good, it works great. I didn't think I could afford a burr grinder, but I was wrong. Amazon had many choices. I chose Ollygrin because it fit my counter space, I liked that you could choose the amount with a dial and the grind with a simple twist, and the hopper is easy to fill. Clean up is minimal and easy. We have had this for a year and a half now and it is still working well. I love the settings and the ease of use. One heads up is that it does not have an automatic shut-off if the collection bin is not in place. So if you accidentally hit the grind button it will send ground coffee EVERYWHERE. In general it is a little messy and the counter needs a quick wipe after use, but it is still the best coffee bean grinder I have had. Read more

Love it! I received a Nuttii Burr Coffee Grinder for Christmas and found it not very user friendly. The beans spilled all over when trying to load it and the output had a screw on cup with copious static... always a mess on the counter. The grind size was not very consistent. I sent it back and bought this grinder instead. What a difference! The grind setting is so predictable. Loading and unloading is clean and easy. It grinds faster than the small one, oh, and did I mention... it was about $30+ cheaper. While not portable, this grinder truly perfect in every other way! Read more

So we've only had this 2 weeks but so far are happy. We had a Cuisinart grinder, our 2nd, which died after 4 years just like our first one. So we decided to try a different brand. This one has worked well so far and only makes half the noise of the Cuisinart! The grind is very good. If things go south I'll update this review but for now I'd say buy it! Read more
