UPDATE after a lot of use - shoes are great!
UPDATE Been using these shoes now for quite a while. I was wondering how the shiny plastic would hold up, and that's doing quite well. The soles are holding up and being genuine rubber, still nice traction. The left shoe (dominant foot) there's a little hole at the big toe area, the fabric has torn a bit and the stitching giving way a bit, but a lot of sneakers do that, so not too upset about it. These have been wonderful and have recommended them to a number of people Will definitely buy again. I am a fencer and for years have worn a certain shoe which I can't get anymore. After trying a few things I discovered these. They are great. Real rubber bottoms are flat and not overly wide or have too much heel. They support well and allow for lateral movement. True to size, I wear a mens 8.5/womens 10. I like the REAL cotton laces that don't continually unlace like the man made ones. If they were leather instead of plastic they'd be the best. I was concerned about the vinyl cracking or not holding up but so far, no problems. I have recommended them to my fencing students and they have purchased them. They are a good value too. Read more
