I've been in the market for a new slow cooker because the ceramic inside mine didn't survive a meeting with a magic eraser and everything was sticking to it. I also am not a fan of the space they take up. Another down fall? Needing to sear in one pan and cook in another. This slow cooker base from BuyDeem is the perfect answer to everything I've been fussing about. It takes up a 10th of the space in the cabinet. It allows me to sear in my Dutch Over, add in the rest of the ingredients and finish slow cooking in it. It arrived yesterday and when I woke up to sleeting weather today, it got it's first work out! I am so glad this is now available to me! It's easy to use. It heats well. Nothing stuck to the bottom of my pan. It didn't require me to lug around a heavy crock to clean after cooking. This will work with any 7" bottom or less pan. This can double as an extra burner up at camp. It's really ideal for camp as the space required to store it is minimal. I already have the Dutch oven, so this is just a wee bit extra real estate to give up. I've already bragged about this to the bestie, but this would be a great gift for anyone who has a small kitchen with limited storage! This is going to get a lot of use in my house for years to come! Wow! I have 2 dutch ovens that I cook with, I use these in the oven for slow cooking and the stove for soups. They replaced my crockpot which took up too much countertop space. This item is a game changer, it has all the features of a crockpot but it is space friendly, it’s like adding an extra burner to my kitchen with minimal space requirements. The features of a crockpot but for my dutch ovens, unbelievable! I cooked a 4lb beef roast in 6 hours, without using my stove! Then, I let it cool and packed it away on a shelf, along with my pans. I like that I can use my crockpot cooking bags in my dutch ovens without worrying about the overhanging bags becoming too hot. If I could give more stars I would. Read more

I absolutely love this slow cooker. First of all the color is beautiful. I also love that it's multi functional, serves as a 5 in 1, has multiple settings, and is compatible with various cookwares. First off the description is confusing .. the pot is NOT included - which i understood it was not - but the pictures and decription at the time of ordering went into decribing the pot you are not getting IN DETAIL & that should be removed to prevent confusion. MOVING ON FROM THAT - I have a tiny house /cabin where the indoor kichen is small & mostly used in the winter months or late night. I have had several electric coil type burners that plug in. All have broken rather quickly. All have made me nervous and eventually melted wires or broken elements have done them in . I Also have amd use the butane type indoor burners, which, has its place.... but its nice to have an electric burner. This works like a rice cooker in that once the center button is released the heating stops - in other words without a pan with proper weight depressing it the heat cuts off. I love this thing - I have been using my rice cooker often - especially since upgrading to stainless bowl, forcthings other than rice, but , I have wished for something just like this so many times! This is so so nice - to be able to use my own pots / pans. Stainless, copper ceramic, cast iron - this will accept small - medium sizes. Smaller sized sautes I pull to the side ( rather than centering) so the any handle material is not directly over the heat . This is really versatile with Several settings and keep warm setting. Great tiny home, modular kitchen , portable unit. I also love the Teal color that matches my mini retro style appliances- also teal!! I expect this will last much longer then the other coil type - just because my last rice cooker lasted nearly 20 years- although a boil over in this case may have consequences since there is no tight fitting bowl and rim to leep liquid out of the bottom heating portion. Time will tell - I'm having fun trying different things with it. I am Happy with this product and so happy someone finally thought of this!! Read more
