C1 Pro Compact Mini Espresso Machine with NS Capsule Ground Coffee Rechargeable Portable Espresso Maker Electric Small Espresso

This is a review for the C1 Compact Mini Espresso Machine. Bottom line: I'm very happy with the machine and the espresso it makes. I recommend this. I like the easy-to-set temperature control, its small size, the quality of the espresso and crema, and of course the taste of the espresso it makes. I like that it comes with an espresso tamper. You also get a Dosing Ring! What they don't tell you is that they also include a dosing ring that fits around the filter and helps prevent spilling the ground coffee when you're pouring it into the filter prior to tamping. I like that the electric cord is a standard cord and that it is detachable. (I'm using a shorter cord as the unit is close to my electric outlet.) I like that it is quiet. I can make espresso while others are sleeping without waking them. I've used the C1 to make hot espresso, but I see that you can make espresso without an electric outlet (as it has a battery) and thus make a cold brew, or a hot espresso if you heat the water first. I'm also using ground coffee, not pods. FYI, I'm using 17g ground coffee, with a temp of 199F and 70ml water for Medium to Medium Dark coffee. Read more

We recently went on a week long RV trip and prior to the trip, my coffee maker broke, so I decided to try this instead. It's sleek, small, and quick! The coffee is great, tastes good, and works as described. I did not try it unplugged off the battery for the cold brew. I used NS pods and love the convenience of this appliance! Read more

Only had it a week but it is great so far, the crema it produces is unreal, honestly much better than my Breville. I bought it for the office, very easy to use, makes coffee so quick and real easy cleanup. Note, 4 stars is a top score in the real world. Read more

High concept. Low quality control. Technically this machine produces espresso, but only through an extra bit of work. The temperature icon doesn't illuminate, which means the water in the reservoir cannot be heated electronically. Espresso can be produced via heating water in a tea kettle and pouring into the reservoir. If the factory in the PRC had only powered up the screen before for boxing the unit, the defect would have been spotted. This speaks volumes about the factory and the company affixing its name on the machine. Not recommended. UPDATE: After discovering how this espresso machine properly works, I'm prepared to eat my previous negative comments and acknowledge its ability to produce wonderful espresso. It's deceptively simple in design, yet produces complex flavors in the crema-laden espresso dropping into my Sicilian-made ceramic cup. Highly recommended. Read more

This is such a handy, convenient little coffee maker! My coffee journey started with Keurig, went on to espresso machines, and now I am having to drink more decaf, so in my search for an espresso-rich, cleanly decaffeinated coffee, I came across this little machine for my bedroom. I found espresso pods (capsules) that work in this machine, that are cleanly decaffeinated (water method), and still have a dark, rich espresso flavor. This machine can use grounds but for my bedroom, I like the very low clean up of the pods. What a great portable coffee machine! We bought this to take to a football game for tailgating and it worked perfectly! Everyone was excited to make hot coffee with the cold temperatures.
