I'm a Baby Boomer, so as a teen, I'm used to wearing wide, long corduroy pants. I searched high and low for such pants but couldn't seem to find anything like that--and corduroy. But then, Lo and Behold! I find these gorgeous pants! I love the dark brown color, and ALL the pockets are real! The fit is perfect, fitting me like a glove at the waist, then loose on my legs. I got these cargo pants for my teen daughter. She’s 5’6” 115 lbs and wears size small pants and shorts. I ordered these pants in size small and they fit her perfectly. These pants are high waisted. Part of the waistband in the back has elastic, so the waistband stretches a little bit but not as much as with a full elastic waistband. These cargo pants are more fitted through the hips but the entire leg length is wide and loose fitting. The fabric is 100% cotton. It is thin and breathable fabric. My daughter washes these pants on cold delicate cycle and hangs them to dry. There has been no shrinkage but keep in mind that they have never been in a dryer or a warm temperature wash. They also require some ironing to make them look best. The one thing that seems off to me is the button. These are Cali1850 brand pants and that’s what it says on the tag. However the button reads Forever21, as you can see in my photo. I checked online to see if these brands are connected somehow but I didn’t find anything. For my daughter and I it’s not a big deal overall, but we do find this mixed branding odd. Read more
These are perfect! As of post time they are $39.99 and for that price I think they are a little expensive for what they are but I do still love them! They are really comfortable and make the booty look really great. I'm 5'5 and they are the perfect length for me as well. If you are taller they might be a little short on you. Breezy and the material is soft and comfortable (they feel nice not like a windbreaker material which I like). I could get a similar pair for about $25-$30 and for that reason I probably wouldn't buy another pair but if they were a more competitive price I would def get another color! Size-wise, I typically fall between a small and a medium. I decided to go with a medium for these pants, and I’m glad I did! The waist and hips are quite tight on me, and had I gone with a small I wouldn’t have been able to button up. Thank goodness for the elastic at the back! The legs are very loose and wide, great if you’re going for that late ‘90s retro look. The cargo pockets are huge and tend to puff out a bit, so sometimes the silhouette looks a bit weird. I was also a little disappointed that the length seemed short; the hem of the pants skim the tops of my feet, but when I sit down the edge rides up to expose 3” or so of my leg. I will give these pants credit: they are pretty well made. The stitching is even and the seams seem strong; the fabric is a lightweight but sturdy twill weave. If I had tried them on at a store, I probably wouldn’t have purchased them, but since they’re here at my house it’s easier to shrug “Oh, it’s close enough to what I wanted” and keep them. Read more
And I was surprised a little bit when they showed up but, in an attempt to throw caution to the wind, I tried them on and really liked them. They fit really well for the most part. The length is great (unusual) but the waistband is just a weeeee bit smaller than is optimal for maximum comfort and various activities (like, I'd like to wear them dancing but I feel like they might feel constrictive around my waist in a short time and that's annoying). The fabric is a nice weight with a little bit of structure to it that helps them retain their silhouette. So it would appear that I ordered these for a reason and that reason is that I had been looking for something versatile and comfortable that isn't yoga pants for quite a while and these are they! I really like the style of these pants, and ordered from the size chart, but they are junior sizing, so they are a bit snug for my liking. The button at the waist says Forever 21. I'll pass them along to my daughter. As for the material, it is a nice lightweight twill, and feels like it will be cool, even in the warmer months. These are really cute cargo pants that have a wide leg and are comfortable from about the butt down. However, the waist is just too small to fit me. I fit a medium and sometimes even a small in some dresses but these pants would not button up my waist. I received a medium and thought that this would most likely fit due to the elastic in the back that should have given this some room to expand but I couldn't button it up. So I have this to my daughter who is a size small and they fit her perfectly and she loves the wide-leg look. If you want these pants you will have to go up a size for sure but the pants are quality pants, great material and this is a cute look, just go up one size and you should be fine. Read more
