I ordered this costume at Christmas to deliver gifts to friends and neighbors. Everyone seemed to really enjoy it. I'm on the thin side, but tall at 6'. I ordered the Large. I'm a size 34 waist. The length is good but because I'm thin the jacket seemed a little big. But if you are tall, you will probably want the large so you can have enough length in the arms. The costume seems well made and should hold up for a few years or more. The pants are much baggier than they look in the product photo. See my attached photo to see the difference. They aren't like ballet tights. They are made of a very thin material so you may want to wear a pair of pants under them. Yes you can fit a thin pair of pants under them for warmth. The jacket is the highlight of the costume. It's a made out of a somewhat heavy material but overall it has nice details and gets the job done. If you wore a long sleeve shirt or sweater under it, it would be pretty good for warmth in the cold season. It also comes with a belt, elf shoe covers, and a hat. I was worried that the hat may not fit me, because I have a bigger hat size than most people, but it fits great. The hat also has some netting material on the inside to keep your hair in place. I am 6' @197 lbs and this fit great. I wore shorts under legging so I could have a secure place for car keys and wallet. I used this to attend a Christmas themed Halloween party and danced for a couple hrs with my wife with zero issues. I wore soft top Sperry deck shoes inside of the elf slippers and that worked perfectly. The overall high quality of this costume was very surprising and the work coat even has two generous pockets built in. Nice coat and fits fine!!! I like the length!! Leggings are great, belt is fine and hat is great!! BUT elf shoes are crappy!!! They fit over shoes but top is too small to fit the shoe thru!! Otherwise the rest is wonderful!!! Read more
6'2 and 200 lbs and the large was excellent. Tons of compliments and several inquiries as to where I got the costume. It was a work event for taking pictures with Santa..... but some children and parents requested pics with the elf costume also. This is a really good costume for the price, but it is a bit small for men's extra large. We had a contest at work where the staff voted for which senior leader would wear the costume at the holiday party and everyone loved it. It was a good thing the staff didn't vote for the biggest guy, though. He would have been squeezing out of every spot, and he's not particularly big. The shoe covers are really cute, but it was difficult to figure out how to put them on. After struggling and stretching the elastic that goes around the bottom to its max, I came to the realization that the shoe covers are meant to be put on slip-on shoes, then you slide your foot into the shoe after the shoe cover is already on the shoe. Trying to put the shoe on (our elf had shoes that tied), then put the shoe cover on is very, very difficult, and if the shoes had been bigger than a Men's size 9, I don't think we could have managed. I'd expect they'll fit a larger shoe if it's a slip-on shoe. Read more
I weigh about 180lbs and 5'11". The jacket was a little big but wearing a turtleneck under it fills it out. The leggings run big and fit like sweat pants. But once the outfit was together it looked the part. Overall good quality Read more
I bought this for an annual Santa-themed bike pub crawl. It is perfect. Should hold up for a few years, and drew lots of compliments. The booties fit over your shows with elastic bands and are kind of small, but the rest of the costume is top notch. Read more
