I chose to buy this jacket because I'm on a very limited budget. I bought this when it had a discounted price of $39. To me, it has ticks on all my fundamental expectations: 1. It has a very large size. I am typically 2XL on outerwear and this 2XL felt more than that and that's great because I expect a lot of layering underneath it. 2. Insulated and Waterproof. This coat does provide insulation! In a cold, wet, and rainy night I only wore a jeans and tshirt with no other layers. This coat on top kept me warm and dry! And this jacket is just above my knees, which I wanted. 3. No puffy look design. This jacket is pure black with little branding or unnecessary cuts. It has lots of functional pockets. Zipper is two-way which is very useful for long coats like this. The hood is detachable via a zipper. However, I think they could have improved this by simply making a roll and hide hood instead of detachable. I am happy with this product and would buy again if I need to. Read more

I absolutely love this jacket. It is roomy and yet holds the warmth very effectively. I can spend long periods of time outdoors in it without becoming cold. The hood is equally warm! The only drawback is that the inside of the zipper cloth flap keeps getting caught in the zipper when zipping. Many jammed zippers to deal with. But other than that, this is a great jacket! I needed a versatile coat for fall and winter wear, and I am very happy that I got this CAMELSPORTS Mens Winter Long Warm Coat. The fit was perfect, and it's nicely made. I like the fact that mine has a detachable hood, since the hood is a feature I seldom use, except in very cold weather. Even though it is well insulated and warm, I like the trim, clean look of this coat. It says it's a casual coat, but honestly, it's nice enough to wear in more formal settings and gatherings. The double zipper is another convenient feature, and mine is smooth sliding and easy to use. I love this coat! Read more

This is the perfect overcoat for chilly mornings. I've worn it everyday since the temperature dropped below 40*F. At the coldest this winter, it dropped down near 10*F, and on those days, I wore a down jacket underneath. Most of the cooler mornings, I usually layer with an Amazon Basics fleece vest, and that seems to be sufficient enough. I love how the coat has a removable hood, this was a crucial part of my decision to buy this. I never use hoods on any of my jackets, I just think they look silly. An overcoat with no hood just looks better. With a tall standing collar, it really adds another layer of protection and generally is just a very functional winter jacket. The media could not be loaded. Almost perfect, but one serious design flaw i think. The quality is spectacular, the pockets are soft, but a bit deep. The hood is a good size for even a sports cap inside. It has three pockets. Two outer and one on the side of the jacket on the inside. The zippers are by far the worst i think. They are seriously flimsy(i included a video). But the jacket is true to size. And i feel i can wear this during the winter/spring time with it being a light insulated parka. Also the texture outside of this great find is for water to roll off i think it is very repellent which i associate with waterproofing. I just feel that zipper seems like it would give way in a few months after the amazon return period has ended. One last thing i hope they can improve on is the design of the cuff. It is very large and i have a large hand but the hand opening is much larger. It is a detail that i know must be a mistake. This is a nice, fluffy, polyester coat. The outside fabric is mid weight, good for casual use. This is not a rugged mountaineering parka or worksite coat, but I see no manufacturing or design flaws. I am 5 foot 8 inches tall, and weigh 160 pounds. I wear a size medium shirt, and like oversized large to extra large size coats. Looking at the size chart for this coat I bought a size XXL, thinking the shoulders are a bit narrow, and the sleeves are a bit short for the size. This turned out to be a good guess. The coat is spacious and comfortable on me without being ridiculously oversized. I could wear a not too substantial fleece jacket under it if needed. The hem sits at mid thigh for me.
