I don't think this was effective if you want a good bug detector spend at least $100 but most likely more on finding bugs or get someone professional. This was not user friendly and just mainly picks up any electricity like light switches. Read more

It turns on. Thats about it. It seems like it would detect a wireless signal, maybe. The red lens and red light don't really aid in finding cameras. Either way it was $5 so it will get forgotten in the junk drawer. Read more
Small but it worked as expected
I ordered this Hotel Hidden Camera Detector from Amazon Vine, and it is small, lightweight, easy to carry around, and it was a pretty handy little tool to use to check for hidden spy devices and make sure nobody was secretly watching me while I was staying in hotel rooms during my travels. This device was designed to detect wireless signals, which allowed it to find some hidden cameras, but luckily these camera were not in the room that I was staying. The cameras it detected were throughout the lobby area, the breakfast area, and right by the front desk. This camera detector has four sensitivity levels that were easy to adjust, it could detect a couple different devices, including Wi-Fi cameras, the signal reception range was quite decent. However, I did notice some interference from my own things because it even detected my cell phone signal and my smart watch while I was trying it out which was kind of funny. The anti-theft mode was another useful feature because by enabling vibration detection and attaching it to my luggage, I felt a little bit more secure, because in case someone tried to take my bag, the alarm would sound, and I would wake up and probably scream for help. Lightweight and simple to use
I was pleasantly surprised by this video camera detector device. The device is very lightweight and fairly easy to use. It has a magnifying lens and a black light on the front which allows you to detect if a camera is hidden behind something and then kind of examining it closer. Once activated the sensor beeps when you go over a Wi-Fi device that could be transmitting something. I will definitely take this with me next time I use a Airbnb.
