I have mixed feelings about these shorts, but not in a negative way. There really is not much to complain about, and I do not dock stars simply based on whether I personally love the fit or how something looks on me. These shorts match the product description very well. The color, material, and overall design are exactly as shown in the photos. They are comfortable and clearly made with activity in mind. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, and the built in liner makes them practical for workouts or outdoor activities. The zipper pockets are also a nice feature because they allow you to carry small items like keys without worrying about them falling out while moving around. The material is thinner and less structured than what I personally tend to prefer in athletic shorts. That said, it is not a design flaw. It is simply not the type of structured running short I initially expected. Once I wore them for a bit, I could see why they are designed this way because the lighter material helps with comfort and movement. I wore these during a workout and also to an outdoor festival event where I was walking around a lot in warm weather. They stayed comfortable the entire time and did a good job with moisture wicking. I genuinely like these shorts. Which feels rare to say, because usually running shorts either try to slice me in half at the waist or billow out like I’m in a parachute drill. These hit that sweet spot. I got a (Medium) and my hips are about 38 inches, and the fit is just right—not squeezing the life out of me, not falling off either. These sit comfortably without digging in, and they’re flattering without trying too hard. Breezy and functional without screaming track star in training. They move with you, not against you. The 3-inch length strikes a perfect balance: not too short, not too long, and importantly, it doesn't ride up while running. For reference, I'm 5'9" and 175 pounds, and I ordered a size large. These are such a cute, flattering cut. They are fairly comfortable, but I don't care for the lining. They feel bulky, itchy. I've had similar shorts in the past and I don't recall this ever bothering me. It's not a huge issue, I'm not above cutting the lining out myself, but something to consider. I do love how the pocket is zippered, but I wish there was one on both sides. This pair is only pocketed on the left hand side. If you're a lefty, this is perfect for you. As a righty, I struggle to get the zipper up and down with only one hand. Overall these are fine, I'll be wearing them to the park and playground all summer with the kids. Read more
