Perfect pair of 12 lb. dumbbells. These don't smell at all, a big concern since the SPIRI 15 lb. pair I bought last year smelled awful even after leaving them outside for awhile didn't dissipate the stink (ended up giving away.) I couldn't find 12 lb. hex dumbbells without rubber or neoprene coating so I bought these. The handle part (terminology?) is much thicker than the regular dumbbells I own and at first it bothered me as I'm a petite female with small hands, but now I like them a lot. Who cares what a dumbbell looks like at the gym? Nobody. At home, when they are part of your living and working environment, and you're seeing them all day, that's different. These are beautifully finished. Shiny vinyl coating that does not make noise when you place them down. Nice. Well thought out. Smart. I like them as part of my living space. Bought this pair of 8 lb dumbbells for a price of 18$. Pretty decent for the price, has a good grip, pleasant color and easy to clean. It wasn’t badly damaged but had few scratches here and there on the dumbbell bearing part, and rating it 4 star for the same.
