I got this because I wanted a simple way to do pull-ups and bodyweight exercises without setting up a full home gym. This doorway pull-up bar is designed to hook onto a door frame so you can do pull-ups, chin-ups, and even push-ups on the floor. Installation was really easy since it doesn’t require drilling into the wall. It just sits securely on the door frame using leverage. Once it’s in place, it feels stable enough for normal workouts. The grip positions are nice too. You can use different hand placements for pull-ups and chin-ups, which helps work different muscles. It’s also versatile because you can place it on the floor for push-ups or other bodyweight exercises. The build feels solid overall and it supports a good amount of weight without feeling flimsy. It’s also easy to remove and store when you’re not using it. Overall, it’s a great option if you want an affordable piece of equipment for bodyweight workouts at home. Read more
Was missing hardware to begin with so I had to fab up my own fixes. After a month of use every day in the mornings it has already bent in half and failed. I’m not a big guy at all. Underweight maybe. It was easy to use though and difficult to assemble. No instructions in the box. 1/5 for value. Read more
If I had to pick one small piece of exercise gear, something like this CAP doorway pull up bar would be it. It installs in seconds with no permanent attachment and feels stable in a standard frame, so I can get pull ups and chin ups without bulky equipment. The steel build is sturdy enough and the padding is comfortable for longer sets. It doubles as a push up bar on the floor, which is handy for quick chest and core work. The grip positions let me switch muscle focus, and the bar comes off the doorway easily for storage between sessions. I have not had issues with the frame shifting when used within the weight limit. I do feel like older versions I've had were a single long bar instead of two smaller ones joined in the middle. The middle joint does reduce the feeling of confidence slightly, but it is rated for 300lb. For a compact setup that covers real strength work at an affordable price, this is an easy win. Read more
