Things I'll keep an eye on and adjust rating accordingly: they have a slight tackiness to them so I want to see how they hold up in the heat of the south. Curious to see if they melt to the dash or anything like that, or if there are materials that don't agree with them, or if the pattern transfers to anything Until then, I have no issues. They're definitely non-slip. I've attached a video -- I wouldn't recommend placing a drink on them because things happen and liquid splashes around, but I tested it out with a cup about half full. I got a couple of these pads for a tall and heavy wood drum with a very smooth and a slick surface. That combined with the weight makes getting a grip on the thing kind of a chore. The pads make it a lot easier to grab and hold the instrument. They stick like glue to the shiny smooth surface. I was concerned at first that whatever is on the grip side of the pad might have some chemical reaction with the drum's surface finish. But so far nothing like that has happened. My fault for the problem I am having with this, as I did not think this through. My dashboard is a problem in that, in the middle, where I would like to place this, is my speaker for the radio. Then, on the driver's side, it rises and does not give a level area for this pad, as I had hoped to place my phone there for viewing maps.
