You should understand that these were plastic, but they have an attractive metal-like finish. The advantage of a plastic is that it can more easily be removed without damaging the stem if there is an issue and the cap itself is damaged and there is no oxidation or rust / corrosion problems between the stem and the cap. I do like the hexagon end of it. While I don't anticipate the plastic holding up to a wrench and serious torque the way a metal one might, it does give the cap a nice touch and the ability to get a little more force, if needed, to break the stem free if it won't hand-loosen. Each cap has a rubber O-ring that gives these caps a water / airtight seal. Considering you get 8 of these in a pack, worth the price and i wouldn't hesitate to buy them again if they hold up over time. Read more

It's a tire stem cap. It caps tire stems. Mission accomplished. Read more

These little hexagon valve stem caps are a surprisingly great upgrade! They're not just a cosmetic improvement, though they do add a nice, sleek touch to my wheels. The flat head design looks modern and clean. More importantly, they do their job well. I've noticed they create a really good seal, thanks to the rubber O-rings. I'm confident that they're keeping dirt and moisture out of my tire valves, which is crucial for maintaining proper tire pressure. For such a small and inexpensive accessory, they offer a lot of value. If you're looking for a simple way to enhance your vehicle's look and protect your tires, these are a solid choice. Read more

I prefer shiny caps because it is obvious at a glance if I forget to put one back on. These look great and work fine, but they are made of plastic as thin as (maybe thinner than) the generic caps I just got. For $1 more than 60 comparably well-made generics in a nice plastic box, I got 8 of these in a little plastic baggie. I wouldn't say these look so great that it would justify the 9X pricing on looks alone, so I'm giving them 4/5 stars. Read more

Chromed plastic. They do look good. The finish is bright and even. There's about an eighth of an inch that's not threaded which is helpful to avoid cross threading. They do fit tight and they'll do the job of keeping debris out of the valve core. Read more

Not a whole lot to discuss... they appear to be well constructed, no rough edges and they threaded cleanly on each and every Schrader valve on which they were installed. They do have a small gasket at the top to help provide a good seal, something lacking on a lot of other valve stem caps (see photo). No issues, easy to recommend. Read more

These fit perfectly on my Nissan Murano. They look so much better with my silver wheels than the green plastic caps that I had before. Very happy with these. Read more

These valve stem caps are, as described, made of plastic, with "chrome" finish. They appear as if they are made of solid metal, but are very lightweight, so putting your wheels out of balance would not be a concern. Read more
