CARHARTT GOT 50% OF THE PRODUCT RIGHT
VERY DISAPPOINTING! Cheapest of the cheapest of the cheapest zipper & stuffing/padding inside!!! Honestly very surprised that a company such as Carhartt who is known for their durability would let this product out the door with this type of stuffing/padding. Zipper broke this morning, another strength Carhartt has touted in their outerwear, which typically holds true. The bed comes looking very plush/cushion-y and somewhat full but after repeated manual fluffing it truly only lasts 1-2 months. Other than the zipper issue the exterior is very durable, like their outerwear. Responds well in the washing/drying machines. I would like purchase another for the family room but the overall quality is bugging me enough to justify the purchase. I've got two dog beds, shame on me for being a fool twice. Read more
Outer Canvas is Great but Pillow itself leaves MUCH to be desired.
As a dog bed, not the best. The outer cover (carhartt canvas) is awesome, but the inner pillow/stuffing is awful! It's a big ball of fluff. Hopefully this makes sense - we pulled out the inside pillow, ripped the seam and pulled out the stuffing and added a zipper. I then took the memory foam pillow of the old dog bed (the memory foam was in good shape but the cover was shredding) and put it inside the interface from this bed, zipped it up and finally had a good bed for the dog. BIG, Safe, Easy to Clean, Super Durable,
We love these big, thick beds for our small dogs. We bought two of them to fill the backseat of our Toyota/doggy car. (… with a tall baby gate separating the front & back seats) The clean-seamed/no-piping edges discourage chewing on the beds & the durable canvas covers resist wear from digging. The cover is durable and does not release any harmful fibers or outgassing. We put the Carhartt canvas/fleece blanket on top of the big beds. The fleece lining of the Carhartt blanket appears to stay nicely and softly attached to the blanket. It seems not to release fibers that could stick to dirty dog feet or sticky dog chews or soggy doggy bodies.🐶😳🐶 The two big beds and the soft top make a perfect, safe traveling and raised viewing platform for our tiny dogs.
