First, let me say this isn't my first Cariloha pillow. I first purchased a Cariloha Flex pillow on a whim when we went to the beach. I had been searching for a new pillow because I developed terrible back and neck pain. I wandered into the Cariloha store and took a chance on this pillow. The salesperson said this was the pillow I needed and would truly help. I took it home and left it in the box because I was skeptical. After a few weeks, my back pain did not improve, so I wandered into my spare room, unboxed my Cariloha flex pillow, and figured it couldn't be any worse than what I had been sleeping on. Because this is the flex pillow, I was able to adjust the firmness by removing some of the interior material—this aspect of the pillow I love. I fell in love with this pillow immediately. I took this pillow everywhere where I had to lay my head. It went on vacations, to in-laws, and the couch. This pillow didn't leave my side, and the best part was that my back pain went away. Cut to recently. We went to the beach for a family week-long vacation, and of course, my pillow went with me. I don't trust just any hotel pillow for my back and neck. We had a wonderful time and check out finally arrived. We loaded up and headed home. It wasn't until I was heading to bed that I noticed I had left my pillow at the hotel. I was so devastated, I couldn't believe I had done this. I was miserable and sad. I had grown such an attachment to this pillow. I immediately ordered a new pillow but had to wait about a week to receive my new flex pillow. The joy I felt when the box finally arrived was something to behold. I will continue to be a loyal customer of Cariloha. Their products are phenomenal. This is the one for anyone who needs a pillow for back pain. This pillow was recommended by a sales lady at a large dept store. Because of the inconvenience of returning if we didn’t like we decided to wait and order from Amazon. This is the most comfortable pillow we have ever owned. After the first night we knew it was a keeper. The support can be adjusted by removing some of the charcoal inside. It is washable which is a huge factor. While it was a bit pricey the value in the long run is a pillow that will last years and a good night sleep. Read more

I'd really only call this 'okay' at best. It's not great, wouldn't even say good, it's just okay. The material isn't the softest. There's no 'cooling' to it, which is common for decent pillows nowadays.. I'm really just not impressed by this at all. I've got several different pillows that I prefer. I'll probably give this to someone, use it for between my knees, or let the dog sleep on it. The foam also smells weird fresh out of the box, though that is fairly typical.
