Casabella Plastic Rectangular Cleaning Bucket with Handle Clear 4 Gallon

I have had one of these bucket for about twenty years. I loved everything about it: the shape, the design of the handle, and the fact it is transparent. After all these years, I must have somehow abused it, so it developed a small leak near the bottom. I managed to use it a bit more by covering the small hole with duct tape, but that failed. I was sure I couldn't find another just like it, but Amazon had these! Yes, they are costly, but they last for decades, IF you aren't clumsy like me and somehow hurt it. I always look first on Amazon for what I need! Being a Prime member, I can't imagine how much I have saved in shipping costs by ordering from Amazon for over a quarter century, or how much time, energy, and gas I have saved by not having to run around looking for what I need in brick and mortar stores. I love how you can monitor the contents of the bucket due to it's simi-transparent design. You can see the cleaning solution and water levels from multiple vantage points or angles. You also can monitor the cleanliness of the bukets contents and last but not least you can make sure that no small animals or children fall into it as the buckets' transparency adds a key safety feature that addresses one of this type of items main concerns. What can one say about a bucket...not much, but I'm a wordy person so I'm sure that I will bore you by sharing this review. Here in CA there is always a drought so I try to reclaim as much water as I can. I place a bucket in the corner of my shower and capture the water used to warm up the water before getting in. I then use it to water plants and refill my bird baths. This bucket is attractive, kind of matches the grey tile in my shower, and holds just the right amount that I can carry when full. I had another just like this which I purchased several years ago (at least 5) that started to crack on the bottom. I also got the insert caddy tray for it since they are designed to go together. What a nice big bucket. It is hard to tell from the pic but there are spouts on either side and they help alot for pouring out dirty water into the toilet. I used it alot since I got it and use it still, it is holding up well. I had a bucket like this from Casabella years ago and loved it. The size and shape were perfect for easy use and it was very sturdy. I used it for several years with no issue. Unfortunately, I lost it during a move. So naturally, I decided to buy a new one and was very disappointed with it. I’m guessing Casabella was not happy with the margins because the difference between the new and old bucket was night and day. The new bucket was very flimsy. Just looking at it I could tell that The bucket would crack and come off the handles if I were to fill it with too much water. I used it maybe twice before it cracked and fell apart. I would have been better off going to a dollar store. Don’t waste your money!!! Read more
