Our six month old cat was just spayed. Our vet sent us home with a cone of shame that was far too large for her, and she kept tripping on it and pulling it off. I called my vet and they told me that surgery recovery suits worked very well. I had never heard of one before but I thought we should give it a try. I found this suit at Amazon and I am very satisfied with the product. The fabric is soft and stretchy and fits very well. It completely covers the surgical area and keeps her from looking at it.Our cat is able to move around with no rest restrictions from the suit. She’s able to walk around, eat and drink and use the litter box with no problems. The way the suit fits in the back it loops around the hind legs leaving her tail and private parts free so she can do her business. She has worn it for four days, she doesn’t fight it at all. She seems very comfortable in it. The suit was very easy to put on just slip it over her head put in the front feet and the back feet, secure the Velcro and adjust the tightness on the turtleneck and you’re good to go. The sizing guide is a little deceiving. My cat is 7 1/4 pounds, but she’s 15 inches long so according to the chart, she should wear a large. Our cat is long but very skinny, I wasn’t sure which one would fit best so I ordered all three sizes knowing I could return the two sizes that didn’t work. The medium fit perfectly. I highly recommend this product for anyone with a kitty with an abdominal surgery. I wish my vet had sent her home in one instead of using that stupid cone. Read more

This worked so well after our kittens spay! She kept escaping from the cone they sent her home with. It made her agitated and anxious. This garment is soft, it keeps her calm, and fit perfectly. She is able to use the litter box with no issues. We are day 4 after her surgery and it has protected her abdomen. I did need an extra pair of hands to help put it on her. Read more

This body suit for cats is awesome. It fit my cat as if it was made for her. The measures are very precise. I thought I had to order a small size, but after viewing measures, cat's weight and reviews, I bought a medium size and it was a hit. Her sterilization surgery wound started healing immediately and she wasn't able to keep licking her wound. I had tried the cat cone and the expensive inflatable collar ring and none of them were helping. She took the cone off lots of times and even with the inflatable collar ring she was able to reach her wound. I was very annoyed because all my cats are like my children. They are two twin one year old rescued kitties and are very attached to each other. Even the 2nd kitty was "helping" her with the wound. With this super suit they couldn't keep the "licking job" and it started to heal. I will keep it on for as long as the wound is totally healed. The fabric is very soft and breathable. She never felt uncomfortable or annoyed while wearing it. It has a safe velcro closure, which is a great plus. The suit arrived in a flash and I could start sleeping at night without any worries. It was a true relief for me. I RECOMMEND IT WITHOUT A DOUBT. Read more

This recovery suit worked really well for my kitty’s spay recovery. I highly, highly recommend ordering this early and getting your cat acquainted with it and not throwing it on after surgery though. I ordered this a month prior to her surgery and would put her in it for short bouts. After her spay, she wore it for 10 days before we took it off. We would check her incision daily by distracting her with treats and undoing half of the suit to be able to look and that was no problem. It kept her from licking her incision and we had no issues with infections. It is thin so it has some holes and pulled strings after she wore it full time for over a week but it held up the entire time. It’s relatively easy to put on, although treats make the process much easier. My kitty is long and skinny, so I ordered a medium based off her weight. I’m glad we went with the recovery suit instead of a cone. Read more

UPDATE: The seller reached out and thanked me for my feedback to better their product. Acknowledging where you have areas of improvement is hard. I also realized that I didn't focus on the positives of the product enough so I added some information. There are a couple of things to be aware of with this product. 1) It is not breathable. So if you are trying to prevent an injury or surgical area to stay dry and heal, this isn't the product for you. This trapped in moisture and within 2 days my cat's injury had gotten worse. The body suit wasn't even tight on her either. 2) It really doesn't prevent the cat from accessing any areas because they can still lick and bite at the fabric. This in turn cause irratation at the area underneath. 3) I felt the hole placement for bathrooming was off. The opening for urine was so close that I know she would have peed on the suit. A simple fix was to flip the suit over and have the velcro on the belly because for whatever reason, the opening was larger on the top (or tail spot). In the end, it was not effective to prevent my cat's access to her injury and held in moisture which made things worse. I will say if you are looking for some other purpose, this would be a good product. It was soft and fit as described (minus the bathrooming hole placement). ADDED - This product did provide my cat more freedom in mobility as she recovered, which was the ideal scenario. Our cat hated her cone so much that she would lie around and be miserable. Her last 2ish weeks, she was roaming the house again, snuggling, and living life, thanks to this product. Read more
