CE Approved Full Body Armor Motorcycle Jacket-2XL

I am 5 foot 8 and weight about 165-170lbs... with an athletic build ( I do calisthenics... not weights)... and I bought this in size LARGE and it fit perfect for me! Medium would have probably fit me better, but due to the weak looking mesh fabric I'm glad I got some extra room near the chest area! The pic shows the lower strap being secured underneath the front chest plate... I just secure bottom strap ON TOP of the lower area of the chest plate and it fits AWESOME! Looks cool and robo-cop-like! I would definitely recommend this to a friend. I'm just so glad that it arrived and fit perfectly. Just be VERY CAREFUL when putting on and taking off... as the delicate-looking mesh seems like it can rip easily (read other reviews about it). But for the price... I now have armor protection for summer and winter (wear a jacket on top) protection here in southern united states!! Read more

I bought this only because of price and CE rating. Its far better than I expected, arrived quickly in great packaging. I've worn it plenty. It allows me to wear any jacket I want. What am I going to do with the other 6 armor jackets I have? Face it, you don't ride unless its nice out. And most people don't wear armor because its too hot. That's not a problem with this jacket. If you could wear AC on a bike this would be it! It was 80 yesterday and two hours before sunset I had to put something over this or risk freezing to death. It fits nice and tight like it should. I ordered my actual size. No negatives about this in over 1000 miles. Plus, the Velcro waist band, cooling and the feel that if something goes wrong you've done your best to prevent injury and no doubt in my mind this jacket will protect!!!! The spine protection on this is unequalled!!! And due to its cooling effect it will be on when I ride instead of home in the closet. And I would order from the seller again no doubt. I would suggest looking at a size, possibly 20 larger. I am 6'3 200 lbs and bout an xl. everything I own is a L and rarely, but sometimes a medium. this strap would not fit around my waist. the shoulders and arms were perfect. the chest was pretty good. the overall build quality seems decent and if i was shorter and thinner i would use this. but unfortunately for me, this was a belly shirt with funny looking straps. By no means am i a robust individual and I could not get the straps around my waist, they need to be 2-3 inches longer. the should straps are also too long, so they would be very uncomfortable for riding, i think they would get in the way of my helmet. To start off the armor looks like it's sort of an olive green in the picture, it's not this thing is jet black 100%. It goes great with the black pants that i wear when i ride. Aside from that it looks really cool, i am 6' 1'' 135lbs and i ordered a medium and yes it is sized down i would normally order a small but its fits snug with no problems. With my long torso i don't get any issues with it being too short on the waist. As for the armor, it is plastic but it stays in place very well and can be adjusted to be tightened or loosened. I have not crash tested it, but i would rather be wearing leathers if i had to crash at highway speeds. The plastic armor would probably shift around and the mesh holding it together might rip as it isn't that strong so you'd probably end up with a fair amount of road rash. I wore this is 59 degree weather with a hoodie and 2 layers beneath that, I got comfortably hot at stoplights but its super cool and breathable once you begin moving. I ended up paying $60 for this, you get a good bang for your buck with this item, but 4 stars instead of 5 because i just cant confidently say i could actually feel safe crashing faster than 55mph in this. Great quality. I will say that I have not fallen with these (knock on wood). But I can tell just from having it on that it will be useful if such an event did occur. I got the medium and it fit just perfect. I am 5ft 8inches and fit. I do like the fact that this is not a fish net mesh but a full threaded breathable shirt like mesh. The hard plastic pads are thick enough to protect from impact or sliding but are also bendable with your hand. The back "spine" area is heavily protected. This is for the biker who lives in a warm/humid climate and dose not feel like spending $200+ on a jacket. This will provide the same protection. Crap!! I got an XL. Sized like it's a 47" chest and a 25" waste. The strap around waist is NOT as in the photo. MUCH shorter! I am average build for 6', and I have to stretch the crap around the waste, but the chest is too large... Hard to take off. After trying it on 3 times it's starting to tare. I'm 6"2 250 lbs. Larger in the belly than anywhere else. The lap belt is a bit tight on the 4x, but it keeps by back straight and actually makes riding more comfortable ( for sportbikes it may be an issue, I'm on a supermoto sitting back straight up). The 4x is the right size for me, the sleves are just a bit long, have to settle for a bit of the transparent mesh material bunched up for the elbow pads to meet my elbows. Its a non-issue in my book, VERY breathable and perfect under a 2-4x jersey depending on manufacturer. Read more

Ok I ordered a 2x and it's fits great, nice and snug. I'm 5'7 165 lb I could've went up a size but if I did the sleeves would've been too long. I can fit a windbreaker under it if I wanted, but since I live in Florida I won't need much underneath which is awesome! The armor itself is nice and solid, the mesh is good quality and breathable just put it on nice and slow if you pull the fabric too hard it will tear, same with the zipper. Arrived in perfect condition and looks pretty freaking cool too. In all great product for the price, I'm going to give this one to my nephew as a gift and going up a size for mine.
