I used these for spindle-bookcases, the kind of bookcase/shelving that has four posts for feet and then posts going all the way up with shelves in between the posts, instead of side-panels. The smaller size fits perfectly and stays on very well, although I really had to stretch them in order to get them on, which does actually mean they are the right size. The process for installation is as follows. I had to stretch them open, pull them onto each base-post (foot/leg), and then press the black-colored floor-resting slider-portion of the "foot" against the bottom of each post in order to center it and keep it placed (I used my knee for this), while then really PULLING that clear plastic up around the post. When I was done, it was neat and tidy and each one was very well-positioned and not coming off. But then I did something else. I took the next size up and I used two of those, one on each of the front base-posts (feet/legs), to make the unit lean back slightly against the wall. Combining these worked beautifully to make my shelving mobile, when needed, but also very stable on the floor, while achieving the goal of getting the bookcases to stop slightly leaning forward due to the slight slant of the floor itself. The product works fine. It fits the listed sizes and the gliders are very smooth. My complaint is with the unnecessary amount of product. Are we supplying a mess hall here? Love these! I was hesitant to buy these because I thought they would look funny on my furniture, but I decided to give them a try. Now, I love them! They look great on my furniture. Now I can move my chairs and tables easily. They don't slip off from under the legs like the other sliders. I tried the ones that stick to the bottom of the legs, they don't work because the adhisive is not strong enough. I wished they came in different sizes. Read more

The little plastic 'foot cap' snapped off my home office chair. Needs less to say this made it nearly impossible to 'scoot' my chair around on my chair mat and, working at two workstations 90 degrees apart this was problematic. I tried a few other solutions, but nothing was working great. My chair feet are very oblong and relatively thin in cross-section. I calculated the long diagonal on one of the square slider feet and ordered the ones that were close to the length of my oblong feet (accounting for the spread at each end). Once it arrived and installed it has been working perfectly. Very snug, and no tilting due to the mismatch in shape. The bottom slider is good, but not quite as slick as my old foot cap, but good enough that it is not noticeable most of the time. Just a hair more drag than the other 3 feet.
