I was a little disappointed that it was red as I thought it was going to be green as in the picture. Regardless, my dog loves it. I tell him to "be gentle" so hopefully it will continue to light up for some time. He used to have one of these that I bought at one of my local stores & it worked for a couple of months. We wanted to replace Pete's favorite ball. His old one was about to fall apart. We wanted something that would bounce and allow him to chew. I am very pleasently suprised by this ball. It bounces really well and has a randomness about it he enjoys. It must feel good in his mouth because he loves to chew it and the ball is holding up well. Our Saint loves this ball but the english bulldogs aren't too hip on it. The saint will play with it as long as I will throw it and he loves that it lights up. It's held up pretty well so far though I am not sure it would with bulldogs playing with it. Luckily so far they are not interested. Read more

Good ball, but the light doesn't work

Chase 'n Chomp Durable TRP LED Light Up Fetch Ball Dog Toy, 3" The Good: This ball is a great texture, a medium soft/firmness with a decent amount of grip and lots of texture for the dog to grab. It seems to bounce kind of oddly as the spiked areas react differently to surfaces than the regular spots. My dog loves to chase and play with it and it's easy to clean. The Bad: Upon arrival, the LED pod barely even registered any light like the battery was very low, the light was weak and barely blinked, after a few bounces it dislodged from the little rubber cup it sits in and was loose inside the ball. After that happened I didn't see any more illumination from the LEDs and I'm assuming it's dead. Without the light it's still a great ball, but it's disappointing the advertised light feature was essentially nonexistent. Read more
