Incredible knives. I would have preferred a little bit more of a balance/weight of the blade to handle ratio. I bought these knives because I have been using them at a friend's house for the past year and really liked them. The blade keeps it's sharpness very well. The handles are quite nice to hold. I have smaller hands, and these are rounded and smooth, so they don't dig into your palm. And honestly you will never find this quality of kitchen knives for a better price. Love the value. Great set of knives for the price. Super sharp so be careful....seriously. coming from cheap knives in the past I've almost cut myself really bad a few times already. However these knives are also very stylish, well balanced, and did I mention sharp? I see they are quite a bit cheaper now then when I bought them a few years back. I'm tempted to buy another set, but mine are still working grat and I am very happy with the knives I have. I would give as a gift for sure. UPDATE: I've now had these just over 3 years and I'm still happy with them. I just recently sharpened them for the 1st time and they're back to super sharp. As the headline said, these knives are a 5 star value. For a fifth of what you would pay for one great knife, you get a set of seven knives. As their ad says, the chef and santoku knives are well balanced. I don't think that's very important, as most my favorite knives are either nose or butt heavy, but kudo's for being honest. As for sharpness, they will shave hair off my arm. However, I find them a little duller than I like. The handles are a little rough. As in not as finished as they could be. Don't worry, they won't hurt your hand and if anything, it may add to a better grip. Me only other gripes are, I find the boning knife a little thicker than I like ( I like something thinner, with more flex) and I wish the santoku knife was 8" instead of 7" ( this is just me because it's one of my favorite knives and 8" is what I'm use to). I'm a knife snob and all in all, I'm happy with the knives. I feel they will match up to any of the box store knife sets in the $120 range. Read more
